Siden 1996 har jeg besøgt Irland en del gange, og jeg har både arbejdet i Nordirland og gået i skole i Irland, og dette har givet mig lysten til at skrive denne lille bog om dette flotte og interessante land. Bogen omhandler omkring 250 seværdigheder, byer og meget andet i alle Irlands og Nordirlands 32 counties. Jeg har både skrevet lidt om de kendte seværdigheder, der hvert år besøges af mange turister, og om mere ukendte steder, man ikke finder omtalt i de typiske guidebøger. Her er omtale af steder, jeg har fundet flotte eller interessante og et besøg værd, men også af steder, jeg har fundet knap så spændende eller interessante, så man måske kan springe disse steder over, hvis tiden bliver knap.
