  • - My Voyages
    af Vito de la Vera
    64,95 - 97,95 kr.

My search for the origins of the whale culture has now taken me from the first findings on the East coast of Greenland across the Arctic Ocean and down the Bering Sea to the Aleutian Islands. Here I have found evidence that they originated in the Pacific, which brings us to Japan and the Yonaguni monument. Here it becomes evident that the Whale culture originated from hunter-gatherers, on the Eurasian Mammoth step, who have begun to hunt seals and whales in the Sea of Japan and have then crossed over to Japan from where their culture has adapted to the rich hunting waters of the Pacific during the ice age. The abundance of hunting game has led them to be very successful in the Pacific and to have the resources to develop their unique culture, where they lived on and hunted from the ice cover on the Ocean. On the journey from Japan across the Pacific we find evidence on Hawaii that causes us to take a detour to Kiritimati. There we find evidence that very specific ocean currents during the ice age created a continent of ice in the pacific during the ice age with very rich waters both to the north and south of this ice continent on which the whale culture established a civilization that must have been the real lost continent of Mu. From this continent the whale culture of Mu could cover the entire pacific in their airships based on whale skin and bone. In our continued search we come to Tahiti and New Caledonia to find the source of the specific conditions in the ocean currents that led to the formation of the ice continent of Mu and how these conditions started to collapse and led to the decline of the Whale culture in the Pacific. We thus end up following the whale culture to New Zealand, where it tries to adapt to the missing sea ice and follows the ice south towards the Antarctic before disappearing.

  • af Carsten Breuning & Vinni Breuning
    157,95 - 224,95 kr.

Vinni and Carsten drop their careers; sell their home and possessions in order to fulfill their lifelong dream. A dream of sailing around the world in their 40-foot sailboat, Capri. They left Copenhagen May 29, 2016. From the Southern Cross to the North Star is the sequel to their popular first book, Capri – Sailing Distant Seas. Here they continue their brutally honest description of blue water cruising. The book describes their adventures, both on the ocean and at anchor throughout the Pacific. It describes a life that is diametrically different from their past professional lives. Their choice has given them unbelievable freedom. They live in close contact with nature and meet many new and different cultures. Throughout their travels, they find new friends from far-ranging countries. The book is aimed at not only cruising sailors, but also landlubbers. The authors hope to inspire the reader to live their dream – be it on land or water. Excerpt from the bookBoth sails are in the third reef, Carsten is still immobile. I’ve taken over the galley duties and I’m not (yet) seasick. But I get very irritated when I work in the galley, nothing stays where I put it and the cook (me) has difficulty keeping her balance. Up in the cockpit, Carsten can hear me cursing like a true sailor. He says my language would embarrass even an old salt. My apologies. I can’t wait until we get to an anchorage and truly hope that we will be able to lie quietly. We have had enough of “rock and roll” (eighteenth day at sea). About the authorsVinni Breuning (born 1959) registered nurse and MBA has been a hospital CEO for over 14 years, first at the Private Hospital Hamlet, thereafter for the hospitals in the southern Zeeland region of Denmark. Carsten Breuning (born 1952) was born in Denmark, but grew up as an immigrant to the United States. He moved back to Europe as an adult. He has a BBA and has been General Manager and CEO for both Danish and American companies in Denmark and The Netherlands.
