Næste dag lå der en ny mail i min indbakke, og næste og næste. Skal jeg være ærlig, læste jeg dem ikke i første omgang, mit eget lort stod knæhøjt i livet, jeg havde ikke kræfter til det. Men fortæller et menneske dig sin historie, kan du ikke ignorere den. Det må du ikke. Denne banale altruisme voksede sig til en altoverskyggende sandhed de næste dage, og så begyndte jeg at læse, og forstod hvorfor valget var faldet på mig: Stoffet var up my alley - og det vidste Jakob. Bygningen, som spændstigt og diskret indskriver sig i landskabet omkring den gamle borgruin, er et sjældent eksempel på et moderne gesamtkunstwerk, hvor arkitekturen sammen med den specialdesignede indretning skaber en vellykket helhedsoplevelse. Bygningens rene linjer og det rå indre af beton og egetræ suppleres på fornem vis af Harlangs inventar, som består af alt fra borde, reoler og dørhåndtag til lamper, lysestager og salt- og pebersæt i cafeen – og endda et læskur ved busholdepladsen.

Kunstneren Nicolai Abildgaard (1743-1809) har i de seneste årtier været genstand for intens faglig interesse, som har udvirket såvel en stor udstilling på Statens Museum for Kunst i 2009 som flere grundige videnskabelige publikationer.Imidlertid synes den side af hans virke, som omfatter arkitektur og interiørkunst, at savne en tilbundsgående revurdering og præsentation. Skønt Abildgaards oeuvre på dette område ikke er stort, er hans arkitektoniske formgivning særdeles original, selv set i en større europæisk kontekst, ligesom han fremviser en helt usædvanligt dristig og unik farvepalet i interiørerne.I en årrække har kunsthistoriker Hanne Raabyemagle forsket i Abildgaards virke som arkitekt, mens konservator Line Bregnhøi fra Nationalmuseet siden 1980’erne har deltaget i adskillige farvearkæologiske undersøgelser af en lang række Abildgaard-interiører samt restaureringer af flere af disse. Inden for de seneste år har begge intensiveret forskningen i Abildgaards arkitektur og farvepalet. Denne rigt illustrerede pragtudgivelse er resultatet af deres arbejder.

The book is an attempt to cover contemporary architecture of India from 1985 to 2021. It traces the history of architecture by covering most of the buildings built during this period. This publication is an endeavour to cover works of small cities, towns and villages which require a different kind of tackling altogether, as skilled manpower is not easily available at such places. The Stadlmann property at the market square in Freystadt, dating back to the late 14th century, was in a particularly bad state of repair due to the poor craftsmanship of numer-ous alterations and extensions as well as a lack of maintenance. Thanks to the restoration work and structural additions performed by the architects' practice Kühnlein Architektur, the estate now features a beautiful courtyard and blends into the urban fabric. Fragments from the past, such as the timber framework and wall paintings have been uncovered and preserved. As in former times, the facade facing the market square is once again fitted with wooden-framed, divided-light windows. The town archive has been accommodated in the main building of the listed Stadlmann property with a variety of meeting rooms on the upper floor. The site of the former barn has been used to develop a new connecting structure with an impressive, free-spanning hall under the roof. A timber-framed exterior staircase and corridor have been set along the outside as a reference to medieval arcades. This structure is the perfect place for a stage or box seat at a courtyard festival.

Das "Blaue Haus", das in den Siebziger Jahren von Sepp Pogadl entworfen wurde, wurde durch bogevischs buero rundumsaniert und sieht nun nicht mehr aus wie diese typischen Zeugnisse des Nachkriegsbrutalismus. Die kaum noch zu sanierenden Brüstungen wurden abgebaut, um deren Luftraum den Einzelappartements zuzuschlagen. Die neue Fassade reicht dadurch rund einen Meter weiter nach außen auf beiden Seiten, wodurch die 250 kleinen Zimmer sich deutlich vergrößern. Die Gitterroste, mit denen Boden und Geländer verkleidet sind, bieten optische und akustische Durchlässigkeit über die gesamte Fassade. Und dieser luftige Ersatz für die alten charakteristischen Zementwälle vor den Fenstern erzeugt als weiteren Vorteil eine optimierte Beleuchtungssituation in den Wohnungen. Dank bodentiefer Fenster und der nur moderaten Lichtfilterung klassischer Bodengitter sind die Zimmer im blauen Haus mit einer völlig neuen Aura von Helligkeit gesegnet.Und mit einem freien Blickkontakt auf die sehr spezielle urbanistische Situation: Richtung Westen auf stark befahrene Straßen mit der Autobahn A9, auf der Morgenseite über die typische Ensemblevorstellung der Nachkriegsplanung mit ihrer Anordnung von Hochhausscheiben in der so genannten Neustadt. Wie bereits in der Olympiastadt, wo bogevischs buero die erfolgreiche Sanierung in der Bungalowsiedlung von Werner Wirsing und bei den Stufenbauten umgesetzt hat, ist die Farbgebung an jener optimistischen Epoche orientiert, als Otl Aichers Palette für die "heiter" geplanten Spiele 1972 das demokratische Selbstbild eines neuen Deutschlands malte. Das sogenannte Olympiablau, das schon bei den Stufenbauten einen frohen Akzent als Farbe der Einbauten setzte, findet im "Blauen Haus" erneut Verwendung.Mit seiner Wiedereröffnung am 16. Mai 2023 erhielt das Studierendenwohnheim den Namen "Sophie-Scholl-Haus".

Hun har stået for en lang række af museets udstillinger og har udgivet flere kunstfaglige bøger.

Quaintly set between rocky slopes and green meadows, the new architects' studio for Braunger Wörtz Architekten has been developed on the grounds of a former stone factory, which was shut down in the 1990s. The architects Berthold Braunger and Marcus Wörtz recognised the potential of the dilapidated building fabric and made it their mission to redevelop the remaining parts into an unusual architects' studio. The distinct shape of the four chutes and sorting areas for the terrazzo stone processing plant - a broad front featuring open gates and a timber superstructure with a sloped roof - has been incorporated into the design and reinterpreted. The result is a light office space with flexible floor plans, which clearly show the traces and history of the former use.The great care and meticulous attention to traditional, regional details can also be perceived in the conversion of the former home and trading station on the grounds of the stone processing plant. The atmosphere in the dining room "Wirtsstube", the visitor's apartment and meeting room is characterised by the carefully chosen materials, such as the whitewashed brickwork and the light silver fir finishes. The transformation of the quarry's simple industrial and vernacular architecture into an inspiring place for creative work is ground-breaking in terms of preserving building culture.
