Udenlandske banker afviser at tage imod danske kroner.

The book deals with illicit trafficking in the Mediterranean, seen as a borderline issue between mobility and security under a strongly interdisciplinary approach. The opening part is dedicated to issues that transversally concern illegal trafficking: criminological, criminal law, criminal procedure, but also international law issues. This part presents a kind of general theory of illegal trafficking, showing its recurring aspects and identifying the legal and criminal-political issues that would be best addressed by a unified approach to the matter. The other parts are devoted to presenting, instead, a special part overview of illegal trafficking. The second and the third section are devoted, in particular, to illegal traffics having human beings as their objects. More specifically, the second part examines smuggling of migrants, which has a central - criminological and criminal-political - relevance among the illegal traffics taking place in the Mediterranean. The third part dealswith the neighbouring theme of human trafficking, especially in its connection with the problem of labour exploitation. Finally, the fourth part focuses on some trafficking in goods, offering a selected and representative overview of some of the most significant forms that such trafficking can take: tobacco trafficking, drug trafficking and trafficking in cultural goods.

This book brings together empirical and theoretical case-study research on art and heritage crime. Drawn from a diverse group of researchers and professionals, the work presented explores contemporary conceptualisations of art crime within broader contexts. In this volume, we see 'art' in its usual forms for art crime scholarship: in paintings and antiquities. However, we also see art in fossils and in violins, chairs and jewellery, holes in the ground and even in the institutions meant to protect any, or all, of the above. And where there is art, there is crime. Chapters in this volume, alternatively, zoom in on specific objects, on specific locations, and on specific institutions, considering how each interact with the various conceptions of crime that exist in those contexts. This volume challenges the boundaries of what we understand as "e;art and heritage crimes"e; and displays that both art, and criminality related to art, is creative and unpredictable.
Let me take you on this wild ride of my younger years hanging around true anarchists called Gutter Punks or Train Kids as they like to be called in this current day. I will break down to the reader how the whole Gutter Punk persuasion started in New Orleans and all the different tactics and rules one must abide by to chill with these rebellious people. These nomads usually hop trains to different major cities and always end up, for some reason or another, in New Orleans. Surprisingly, you'd be amazed how many Gutter Punks I've met that come from rich, well-to-do families. Guessing that this is not the route they wanted to take in life, sadly, a lot of them end up with ominous ambitions as their goals--not all of them, though.Almost every story in this book takes place in New Orleans, and all legal names of characters have been changed as stated on the cover. The only names that haven't been changed are the street names for certain Gutter Punks. City street names haven't been changed either.I am a sober man today, and as I sat here in a long-term rehab thinking about my past, I asked myself, "What are you going to do with all these crazy, action-packed, macabre tales you've experienced over the years? I know! Tell the world how much fun you had. Also, let them know how much karma can catch up with you for all the atrocious actions you've taken hanging out with today's modern Pirate. Maybe it will open up the eyes of the public on how our fellow brothers or sisters got into the predicament they did. What does not come out in the wash will definitely come out in the rinse."7070

"In 1850, Fredericka Mandelbaum emigrated to New York from Germany and worked as a rag peddler on the streets of the Lower East Side. By the 1870s she was a widow with four children, a popular society hostess, and a philanthropist. What enabled a woman on the margins of nineteenth-century American life to ascend from tenement poverty to immense wealth? In the intervening years, Mrs. Mandelbaum had become the country's most notorious 'fence'--a receiver of stolen goods and a successful criminal mastermind. By the mid-1880s as much as $10 million worth of purloined property ... had passed through her little haberdashery shop. ... But she wasn't just a successful crook--she was a visionary. Called 'the nucleus and center of the whole organization of crime in New York City' by the New York Times, Mandelbaum was the first person in American history to systemize formerly scattershot property crime enterprises"--
