A collection of messages on the Lordship of Jesus and surrender to His will.

This book constructively proposes that the work of Hans Urs von Balthasar is a credible alternative to the epistemological and ethical concerns of postmodernism, which arose from nineteenth-century nihilism and continues in contemporary thought and culture. It critically examines postmodern efforts to reclaim "faith," the "self " vis-à-vis the divine, and "kenosis" by revisiting and reframing the thinking of postmodern theorists (Nietzsche, Heidegger, Lyotard, Derrida, Vattimo) within von Balthasar¿s narrative of theological aesthetics and ethics. The heart of the author¿s theological alternative to postmodernism is the Gestalt Christi, through which von Balthasar strives to restore the connection between the beautiful and the transcendental, faith and ethics, and ultimately the human and the divine to take back the very ground and source of human existence in response to the postmodern nihilism we face today. This is an important study for all Christians who are in dialogue with postmodern (Continental) philosophy, and it is especially valuable for von Balthasar scholars.

I wonder what you'll say when I'm gone. I wonder what my life amounts to now as I breathe your air. In the grand scheme of things, did my short years matter? Did I waste them trying to gain for myself by my own ambition? Was I too critical to have made a difference? Did I ever really grow into maturity as measured by the stature of Christ? Did my life bring unity or division? Did I spend too much time fighting my brothers and sisters? Was I adding to the noise when the community was divided? Here, from the undertaker's carriage, I question the purpose of it all. For the first time, my eyes are opened.-----------------------andrewpaulcannon.blogSlain in the Spirit is the result of a series of sermons through the book of Ephesians at Green Acres Baptist Church in Warner Robins, GA-reformatted to read like a book with more expository and doctrinal comments than the sermons had. To sum up the book in one sentence-God chose us unconditionally, so we choose one another unconditionally.
Jesus of Nazareth is truly unique among all religious figures. His identity was hotly debated during His lifetime and is debated to this day.Jesus asks every human being the same question that He asked His disciples. "But whom say ye that I am?" Your answer to this question has eternal consequences. Every human must settle in their hearts who Jesus is.Peter revealed the truth. "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God" (Matthew 16:16).This book will reveal that Jesus is both God, and the Son of God. How can Jesus be God and God's Son at the same time? The answer is due to the Incarnation. When God (The Word) took on human flesh in the womb of the Virgin Mary, the Son of God was begotten. The Trinity and the incarnation are key to understanding the true Sonship of Jesus Christ and His identity as both the Son of God, and God Himself. Satan has targeted the identity of Jesus, and it is the denial of the Scriptural Trinity that he focuses on. One false doctrine concerning the Sonship of Jesus and the Trinity is known as the "Eternal Generation of the Son". This doctrine was concocted by the spirit of the antichrist. The Eternal Generation theory teaches that in eternity past, the Father eternally begat the Son. In other words, the Father begat Christ's divine nature before the world began; Jesus thus did not always exist! This is a subtle denial of the Scriptural Trinity, which has the Father, the Son (the Word) and the Holy Ghost existing together eternally as one God! This reduces Jesus to a begotten God, rather than a begotten Son!This book will reveal the truth that Jesus is God and humanity's only Savior. It will expose the Eternal Generation doctrine as a false theology that logically undermines the Trinity. This book will explore the history of the Eternal Generation theory and reveal that it has its roots in ancient pagan and occult mythology and cosmology.
Do you sense that God is preparing the older generation to pass on a valuable legacy of our genuine faith in Jesus, the messiah to the generation to come for His next great and incomprehensible work?In order to establish the legacy, the author pens this book to tell the next generations about several stories of people who have experienced Celebration For the Nations (CFTN) over the past years.CFTN truly began with the immeasurable sacrifice accompanied by generous hearts, and then persistently carried on over the years. It should be mentioned that in order to bring it forth, many gave away such precious sacrifices of time, prayers with tears, finance, sweaty labour, etc. Without all of these, there is no way for CFTN to take place over time. I would say that the sacrifice of the worshipper is the heart of CFTN which holds its true beauty. The author dreams that this book may become one of your treasured possessions to cherish and remember what the generation of CFTN has done so far and will use the spiritual legacy as a springboard to take you to the next level on your spiritual journey.

Today God is alive and well. Therefore, without a doubt, there is power in prayer. Through prayer it has given me the power to conquer this enemy called FEAR, and not to be easily moved. What a joy it was to write this book! I grew spiritually as I learned more and more about God's providential grace and love, and the hope we have in the advents of our Lord, Jesus Christ. It was a worshipful experience for me as I reflected upon God's Word and wrote these words to honor our Lord and this season we refer to as Advent. I hope you too will discover an atmosphere of worship in these pages; I pray God will use this devotional to draw you closer to himself. Each day's devotion provides a Scripture lesson, opening prayer, quotation from an early Church Father, a prayer of confession, and a brief reflection on God's Word. In addition to offering what I hope will be a worshipful experience for you, my desire is that this resource will also equip you in putting the deeps truths of Scripture into practice in your daily life. Thus, each day's devotion concludes with questions for reflection and action steps, that I call, Walking Points. These are designed to encourage and help you walk more faithfully with Christ, not only during the Advent season, but for the whole year. May this devotional increase our desire for Christ's return, even as we celebrate and live in light of his first advent, in which he took on human flesh and dwelt among us in grace and truth. Let us give thanks for that baby born in a manger, who was named Jesus, for he would save his people from their sins. And let us declare with the Apostle John, "Come, Lord Jesus!"Dale Tedder is a pastor at Southside Methodist Church in Jacksonville, Florida.

I pray you will quit chasing the "hope" of this world and instead RECEIVE the Hope of Jesus that only He can provide. In all you do, give him all honor and glory. So dive in, anchor down and enjoy the journey!
When unexpected events cause us to question what we have previously "known," do we stop and reexamine the foundation and content of our own beliefs and values? Do we seek to learn and separate "truth" and "facts" (i.e., reality) from the "knowledge" that we acquired simply by rote memorization or that we thought "felt right" -- what we wanted to be true. The most profound truth is acquired by correcting our mistakes or errors. This is especially relevant to the most crucial of life's concerns: our spiritual health and relationship with our Maker. At times, we need to be reminded of, reeducated in, or encouraged in the basic foundations of life itself.Come, take a journey through God's inspired message to mankind and experience what God has done and seen taking place over time. He welcomes and desires your accompanying presence, as well as your thoughts and questions, as you journey with Him through His story with His beloved mankind.

Roughly two thousand years ago, two men were on a journey from Jerusalem to Emmaus when Jesus unexpectedly joined them. Their hearts burned within them as He conversed back and forth with them. Don't we all need a lifetime of walking with Jesus like that? This book recalls many of the author's own experiences on his Emmaus walk with Jesus.LUKE 24:13-35
THIS BOOK HAS THE PURPOSE OF HELPING CHRISTIANS TO GROW INTO A SPIRITUAL KNOWLEDGE OF GOD. ALSO TO SHOW THE BIBLICAL WAY OF HOW TO HAVE A CLOSER RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.
This book serves as a valuable introduction to comprehending the Holy Spirit and offers practical guidance for a Spirit-guided life. It arises from the author's personal struggle with maintaining a lasting connection with the Holy Spirit despite intermittent moments of divine insight. The book underscores the necessity of a consistent prayer life and daily Bible reading to preserve the blessings of the Spirit and cultivate the fruits of the Spirit, as God expects us to bear good fruit. The book emphasizes Jesus's plea to the Father for the Holy Spirit to enable us with a virtuous and fruitful life, turning away from sin and preparing for eternity. In its first part, the book explores the teachings of the Catholic Church concerning the Holy Spirit, including the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit's assistance, and sins against the Holy Spirit. In the subsequent part, it delves into practical strategies for living a Spirit-guided life and maintaining a connection with the Holy Spirit, offering insights into how to remain in the blessings of the Holy Spirit.
Good Gospel Good God retells the story of Christ's life and teaching in a unique and accessible way, examining the four familiar Gospels while referring also to that of St. Thomas. The resulting single narrative defines this book. Yet beyond that immensely readable central text, there is its developed version: the 'good gospel' explained for those who want to read more deeply. Finally, Daunt demonstrates in great detail how the principles of his own Christian faith are reflected in the core of the original Gospels, thus explaining decisions he has made about when and how the original Gospels were diverted from the fundamentals of Christ's teaching.
Do you want to be thoroughly equipped for everything that life throws your way?The Apostle Paul told his young friend, Timothy that, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17Do you want the Word of Christ to dwell in you richly?Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom by teaching and admonishing one another in Psalms... Colossians 3:16How are Christians to let the Word of Christ dwell in them so that they may be throughly equipped to fave life with strength and joy?One exciting section of the Bible that deserves another look is God's songbook, the Psalms. Many of these songs, written by the warrior, David, tell it like it is, don't pull any punches, and are certainly not what most people would think of as polite "religion." But, nevertheless, God gave us these songs so that we could learn how to sing and pray like thoroughly equipped warriors in an often hostile and unsettled world.
