As a lifelong prayer pilgrim, Teena Ferrara has written The Winnowing from the depths of her soul out of her passionate love for Jesus. These reflections flow from her rich walk with the Lord and the intimacy of being present with Him every day. This book will take readers to a place few would willingly dare to go, venturing through a sudden and unexpected dark-night-of-the-soul experience, loss, and trauma. What unfolds is a raw search for God in the midst of a muddle of emotional, physical, and spiritual pain.
By most standards, highly decorated Marine Colonel Jim Viejo would be considered a hero . . . but not in his own eyes. Personal tragedies have led him to conclude that he is a sinner and that God is rightfully punishing him for his transgressions. As the former amateur golfer's life continues to unfold in a reasonably satisfying, somewhat predictable pattern, Joe is enjoying a happy marriage, working as a bank executive, and gearing up for retirement. But as he is about to discover, life has a way of throwing a curveball that changes everything.Following a weekend spent watching the Masters golf tournament on television, Joe is working at his desk when he receives a message from God on his computer screen that tells him he has been chosen to deliver an inspirational message to the world that the seemingly impossible is possible. God tells Joe he is going to play in the Masters the following spring, and if his faith is strong enough, he will win. As Joe embarks on a spiritual journey to make a difference, he must learn to face his fears, have confidence in his abilities, and commit to his goals before he can succeed.Walking with Herb is an inspirational story of an aging small-town banker's attempt to fulfill his higher purpose and, with God's help, prove that anything is possible.

The Book of Psalms is the Lord's revelation providing His people with substance for worship, lament, reflection, introspection, confession and praise. Accordingly, the Apostle Paul entreats us to sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs. Yet what has happened to psalm singing in the modern church? Most modern hymnals do contain a faint vestige of the Book of Psalms enduring from the Genevan Psalter. But how seriously does the modern church heed the scriptural admonition to sing psalms? And how can the modern church reclaim the rich treasure contained in the Psalter? The primary reason for resistance is the use of fatigued and dated hymn tunes most often utilized with psalter texts. The truth and authority of God's word does not change, but contemporary culture and musical style are everchanging. This tune collection, 24 New Tunes in Common Meter, is composed to this end to assist churches in the reclamation of the rich theological treasure found in the Book of Psalms and the psalter. Each new tune herein conforms to strophic common meter or common meter doubled. The style is intentionally contemporary with a variety of interesting rhythms, harmonies, color tones, chord extensions and modalities not appearing in traditional hymn tunes. Each new tune is scored for gentle vocal range and easy piano accompaniment. Chord symbols have been provided to facilitate adaptation of rhythm instruments such as guitar, keyboard, bass and drums. My prayer is that your church will find this collection of tunes useful in accessing and reclaiming the Book of Psalms in congregational worship.

Welcome the Adversary¿¿As pastor and author Mike Robertson writes, the people around you are either making you better or they are pulling you backward. If you want to become all God has in mind for you, you will find yourself in life-giving relationships-and that will include some difficult people, like it or not. In his new book, Dealing With Difficult People, Robertson explores how we can learn from the ones who cause us the most trouble. With transparency and humor, he draws insight from his own journey and guides readers toward a deeper understanding of:When to fight for a relationship, and when to let it dieThe rhythms and rules that define healthy relationshipsHow to deal with offenseOvercoming the wounds of betrayal and broken trustRobertson uncovers biblical relationship principles reflected in the lives of David, Paul and even Jesus, as they navigated the challenges of relating to the broken people around them.Ultimately, Robertson encourages readers to take a look inward and identify self-defeating patterns that may sabotage their own relationships. After all, the most difficult person we will ever have to deal with in our lives may well be ourselves.
This collection of forty short inspirational devotionals by the author provides thought-provoking reflections on what made Jesus tick. It answers two important questions:What was Jesus' worldview and how did it shape His ministry? In what ways can we share the eternal truths that motivated and directed Him and how will they affect our everyday Christian lives? The goal of Christian spiritual discipleship is transformation into Christlike maturity. For us to live more like Jesus, we must start from the inside and work outwards. That means examining the life of Jesus in the Bible to see how His divinity and humanity interacted and how He thought. The author filters out aspects of our individual personalities that will and should always remain, and Jesus' pure divinity, which we can never share. What's left are ways in which we can become more like Jesus. From His incarnation to His crucifixion and ascension Jesus is presented as the Son of God. His faith in that fact and His relationship with the Father inspired everything He did and spoke. This book is not primarily about how to be like Jesus. Rather, it reflects on who He is. But don't miss a key point-contemplating and imitating the inner life of the Who is the how. Each piece can be used for daily reading, meditation, and reflection. Most of the pieces are just two pages long and focus on New Testament Scriptures from the Gospel accounts and the Acts of the Apostles. They provide a thought-provoking commentary on Jesus' worldview, teachings, miracles, parables, ministry, and what He taught His disciples. This book can also be used as a pastoral resource for teaching ministry and discipleship in churches as well as for personal spiritual growth in the Christian life. The author assumes that being like Jesus in the way we listen to God in prayer, dodge the world's distractions, resist Satan, and make disciples results in confidence and fruitfulness in His kingdom work. We will only escape the impotence and irrelevance of superficial religion to the extent that we make Christlikeness our goal.

In order to understand the true divinity of the man Jesus and the deity of the spirit of Jesus, the book revealed the composition of the one and true GOD and His ability to proceed forth out of self. This book will enlighten your understanding of the distinct Spirits of GOD and Yeshua (Jesus Christ) as one of the distinct Spirits (logos) of GOD.

Facing slanderous attacks in 2013 and 2014 over the internet, it seemed unreal at first but soon became very apparent after reading comments about myself on the web. My life felt shattered and my success seemed foggy. I had numerous thoughts of writing this book, in hopes that it would reach those who may be dealing with the same type of experience. I am still haunted by the fact that temptation is still knocking at my door. I am a blessed man who has overcome significant tests of this persecution. My mission now is to help youth and adults to not be discouraged into the trials I faced. We all face challenges in our lives. My story is more dramatic than the average person. It is a true testament of how I have struggled in the suffering of many attacks and adversity. I realize my circumstances were the best for me because it made me a stronger person for having gone through them. My hope and desire is to encourage all readers to live their best life, and to appreciate who you are no matter what anyone says about you.www.halftimehustler.com
