Schon damals war nach den Ergebnissen der Arbeiten von Robert Hartig und Bauschinger der Grundsatz aufgestellt worden, dass diese Untersuchungen in doppelter Weise durchgeführt werden müssten, nämlich durch Bestimmung des spezifischen Trockengewichtes einerseits und durch Prüfung der Festigkeit auf mechanischem Wege andererseits.Die vorliegende Arbeit soll die Resultate der Untersuchungen bezüglich des Kiefernholzes darstellen.
