For the reader interested in this text, it is important to point out that it is an important book on governance and social participation. Why? Because in this singular study it will be possible to appreciate, with meridian clarity, the way in which knowledge of diverse subjects, located in the heart of the social sciences, interact; all of them determined to give due account of their peculiarities and their linkages. In this case, a multidisciplinary approach was adopted, since this book is intended to be useful for people trained in different areas: social work, economics, psychology, sociology, among others.

Youth in Mexico are immersed in a scenario of employment, education and technology far removed from their peers in other OECD countries. In terms of education, enrolment is highest in the State of Mexico, followed by the Federal District, in relation to the number of young people. It can be seen that the upper secondary level is higher than the other levels. This implies that the degree of qualification is low, but it opens the opportunity for training which has been identified as a determinant of the quality of working life.

The criminal justice systems, specifically that of the Centros Varoniles de Readaptación Social, take for granted that inmates have lost their ability to adapt to change, such as: trades, sports and interpersonal relationships. In this sense, the aim of the present work was to describe the conditions in which the rehabilitation of inmates is carried out in general and the effects of chess-centred therapy in particular. The results show that there is a significant correlation between the practice of chess and their physical activities. In other words, the continuous practice of sport and the practices presupposed by chess are part of a system of multiple intelligences that the inmates develop in the "Jaque al Ocio" workshop, which aims, in some way, to counteract the bad habit of the game of polo (associated with relapses in terms of addictions).

Governance of Local Entrepreneurship involves migration driven by social representations of quality of life and subjective well-being, a locating of the sense of belonging and its confinement, along with social categorisation, to a set of meanings of expectation when the migrant decides to undertake his or her journey or longing when the migrant settles in an environment, or decides to return to his or her place of origin.

To begin with, the reader will notice throughout this book a novel proposal for the study of human development, based on its specification in dimensions and indicators. Given this situation, the question becomes evident and inevitably raises the following question: Why study human development in a context of scarcity, insecurity, uncertainty and risk? This paper seeks to articulate the relationship between governance of the commons and intellectual capital formation, focusing on local entrepreneurship.
