The idea of an Almanac came to me in a cemetery. I was getting ready to bury William Gordon Wells, my church administrator. Gordon was unique and reminded me of Will Rogers or W.C. Fields. He was an avid turkey hunter, and he said there are five species of turkeys, and he'd gotten everyone of them. Now he was not a lawyer nor a prophet, but toward the end he sounded like one, as he told me: "I made a mistake, there are six species of turkeys; I forgot about the politician." This almanac deals with the gobble-gook that comes out from all the turkeys who make our laws, and try to regulate our lives.
