Its objective is to know the genesis of the different Schools of Psychology, taking into account their background, main representatives, the influence among them and the historical context, and their main contributions to the development of psychology as a science.It is intended to provide a frame of reference from which the interested person (e.g., psychology student, researcher or person with no knowledge in the area) can develop an integrative vision of psychological science and its main foundations. It offers elements to understand the processes that marked the emergence of psychology as an autonomous scientific discipline at the end of the 19th century and its developments in contemporary psychological thought.

Este texto tiene como objetivo servir como material de apoyo ¿ libro de texto ¿ para el Curso ¿Historia de la Psicologíä, como parte de la colección de Temas de Psicología que se pondrá a disposición. Su objetivo es conocer la génesis de las diferentes Escuelas de Psicología, teniendo en cuenta sus antecedentes, principales representantes, la influencia entre ellas y el contexto histórico, y sus principales aportes al desarrollo de la psicología como ciencia.Se pretende brindar un marco de referencia a partir del cual la persona interesada (ej. estudiante de psicología, investigador o persona sin conocimientos en el área) desarrolle una visión integradora de la ciencia psicológica y sus principales fundamentos. Se ofrecen elementos para comprender los procesos que marcaron el surgimiento de la Psicología como disciplina científica autónoma a fines del siglo XIX y sus desarrollos en el pensamiento psicológico contemporáneo.
