A study of the book of Genesis: who it was written for and why it was written - how we can use it to find our more about the character of our God, Yahweh, and become more the people he created us to be - with the image of his character.

This book is the result of an adult Sunday School course taught by the author to dispel the fear and un-scriptural hype taught by attention seeking T.V. personalities, etc. who love to throw their weight around, as Peter said so many years ago.

These devotions were written thirty years after the first book. I live in Assisted Living and wrote most of these devotions for my fellow Christians who live here in Assisted living and have been confined to the house for over a year because of the virus. I wrote them and read them to other members of this house who may have been tempted to become depressed by the isolation without the encouragement of my writing and fellowship with other Christians in the house. In the book of Hebrews, the writer told the Hebrews how to run the race of life, in the power of God, as winners. In this book, I wrote encouraging concepts for Christians to help us fight the good fight of faith in less than encouraging circumstances. When we are young, we must fight the good fight of faith because of the spirits of discouragement, depression, and unbelief along with all their friends - and we need the guidance of the Prince of Peace. As we grow older, we still must fight that same fight with the counsel of the Mighty God. We are yoked to the one who won the war at the cross and no matter how old we get or how young we are, we need to synchronize our steps to his. These devotions will help any Christian, in any phase of the Christian life, to run with victory.

This is a commentary one Paul's letters to the early Christians in Rome. It's goal is to help Christians use the Book of Romans in their every day walk with God - either in group or private study.

This is a Conversation on the Revelation of Yahweh to His People concerning possessing the Promised Land and the Promises. The family of Promise had lived out of the Promised Land for approximately 12 Biblical generations. Some of them would have heard the story of how their God, Yahweh, set their father, Abraham, apart and promised him that his family (descendants) would be as many as the sand of the sea and would possess the land in and around the place where he lived. They would have been told that they were their God, Yahweh's, chosen people through whom he would use to bless the whole world. Some of the offspring of Abraham wouldn't have been as familiar with the history of their family in relation to their God and, as a result, may not have been as Yahweh conscious, as they should have been. While Joseph and the ruling class who benefited by by their association with Joseph and his God, Yahweh were alive the Israelites had a good life in the best land of Egypt, separated from the temptations of the opulent life of their host land. Joseph took care of all of their material needs and their herds and families flourished. After Joseph died Yahweh blessed them so that they grew in number and power until they threatened the peace of Egypt by their sheer numbers. That is where the story of Exodus begins.

This book examines the way the life of a believer changes after he or she is "born again" into eternal life and how that new life changed socila norms. Paul focused on how new life in Christ fundamentally transforms personal relationships with others and God. Paul passed on - to us - universal principles from God that must ultimately topple the foundations of injustice in any form when they are taken seriously. Onesimus had escaped from his owner, Philemon, and run away from Colossae to Rome, probably in the hope that he could disappear into that populous, urban environment. Once in Rome, Onesimus met Paul - who was restrained as a Roman prisoner in Rome, but his own rented house. Paul told the runaway slave the Good News and he gave his life to Jesus Christ. Paul had already been planning to send a letter to the Colossian church by the hand of Tychicus. So, in AD 60 or 61, Paul wrote a personal letter to Philemon and sent Onesimus the slave back to Colossae with the letter.

This is a conversation on the book of beginnings and, I believe, an introduction to our God, Yahweh, the Creator of the heavens and the earth.

A fictional account of the Bible character, Joseph, son of Israel

The second book in the Baker family sage is Dianna's story. She sees one brother and the other brother sees her and it leads to a bit of confusion. Displaying Holiness is a conversation on the book of Leviticus - the Bible book that records the laws that would set Israel apart so all the world would see that they were Yahweh's chosen people. The great I AM set them apart to attract the rest of the world to him. He had to teach them to live justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with him because they had acquired many bad habits through the ages. They had come out of a land where the people tried to explain life through creating gods imagined after their evil tendencies and did destructive things trying to placate them. The land they were going into was even worse and they needed to be prepared because their fight would be mainly against principalities and powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Yahweh gave them instructions that would be powerful weapons against these things.

This is a conversation on the letter Paul wrote to the Ephesians. Paul wrote to expand the horizons of his readers. His teaching shows us how to repair what has been broken by corruption in our lives, damaging our behavior. Paul's letter to the Ephesians shows us how to live out the purposes of God in the practical life of a believer. The purpose of this book is to help the individual parts of the Body of Christ learn to knit Christian beliefs with Christian behavior.

This is a conversation on the book of Hebrews. The book of Hebrews was written to make the correlation between the old covenant and the new covenant clear to the Hebrews whose understanding of the Law and prophets had been restricted to a material understanding and needed to be enlarged to understand the spiritual significance and how the related to the new coven ant where the Las is written on the hearts of the believer in Yeshua ha Mashiach as Lord and Savior.

This book is a companion study to reading the book of Matthew. Its purpose is to help the reader of Scripture to better understand the time and place that Matthew wrote his account, and put the writing in relation to what Matthew would have known about others Scriptures to that date.

This is the sixth book in the Baker Family Saga. The Civil war is over and it is time for Linda to make her way back to the Willamette Valley. The books contain things to think about at the end of each chapter as a means for groups to discuss and discover truths through intercourse between the members. There are a lot of things to think about and ways to discover more about the character of our God, Yahweh.

The Baker family is growing up along with their town. Linda is old enough to start a fire, Dianna gives birth to her first child, Alice's belief in angels saves her life, and then there's Richard.
