Amado Nervo, seudónimo de Juan Crisóstomo Ruiz de Nervo y Ordaz (Tepic, en ese entonces en Jalisco, hoy en Nayarit; 27 de agosto de 1870 - Montevideo, Uruguay; 24 de mayo de 1919), fue un poeta y prosista mexicano, perteneciente al movimiento modernista. Fue miembro correspondiente de la Academia Mexicana de la Lengua, no pudo ser miembro de número por residir en el extranjero.
