Between the Bars is a series of letters written by an inmate to a woman who was older than himself, who worked in the education department. They had a relationship which resulted in marriage. His letters to her tell of prison life, child abuse and drugs. They show his developing love for her. They show the despair of prison life and what goes on behind closed doors. They knew they were breaking the law but love cannot be harnessed and kept behind bars. This is a true story of two worlds colliding. Two people wrapped up in forbidden love in one of Britain's largest prisons.
Laughter, Dreams and Tears is the memories of a woman's journey as she travelled the road of romance, disappointment through her early life. She records her observations of others and paints a picture of individuals that readers will relate to. In verse, essays and one line affirmations she provides insight into that which is needed to relate to the self.
"She married him in prison and continued her journey down the motorways as the years stretched out before them. Adventures a plenty did not stop their love for one another and when the day came he walked through the gate to meet his freedom and their future."
