Every animal deserves to be given a second chance and all elderly dogs deserve to be loved, cherished and well looked after at a time in their lives when they need it the most. I was born with a deep love for senior dogs, even as a small child I thought there was something special about them. I was drawn to the greying faces, cloudy eyes and stiff walks and I vowed that one day I would create a beautiful place for elderly dogs to come and live out the rest of their days with that extra bit of care, attention and understanding. My vision was to care for the old dogs that nobody else wanted. And so over a decade ago my husband and I bought a little farm, sold our suburban home and headed off to live in the country. We had big dreams, starry eyes and hearts overflowing with love. And that was how Grace Farm Senior Pug Sanctuary first started out. Where some see old dogs as trash, insignificant, cast offs that needed to be thrown away, we see them as treasures, little hero's for reaching such wonderful ages, to us their value is beyond measure.
