Was an DDR-Architektur wurde erhalten, was stillschweigend oder absichtsvoll dem endgültigen Verfall preisgegeben? Wo gab es Denkmalstürmerei, wo gibt es Denkmalpflege? Was fand selbstverständlichen Eingang in die gelebte Gegenwart? Sensibilität und Entdeckerlust prägen seinen fotografischen Blick. Der umfangreiche Bildband »Ost-Places« ist eine Spurensuche durch die ehemalige DDR, vom Haus des Lehrers am Berliner Alexanderplatz, über den »Teepott« in Warnemünde und die Plattenbauten in Halle-Neustadt bis zum Karl-Marx-Kopf in Chemnitz.
