In the Rigel Kent solar system, on the world of Kam-no-Kai, a scientist discovers a First Race data disk, which may hold the identity of who and what the First Race was... Meanwhile, Jace Starlon is hired by Mika Misu, an agent of the Silurian Magístrata, to investigate a First Race ruins. Jace initially refuses the offer, but reluctantly accepts when Mika pulls legal stings to force Jace's cooperation. Their destination lies in the Glass Desert, near the infamous Janosheck Crater, on the rocky world of Kam-no-Kai, known to Old Earthers as Proxima b. The trek to the destination is dangerous due to nuclear fallout from the Janosheck and political tension between the New Earth United Republics and Silurian High Command, the two world-nations that control Kam-no-Kai's natural resources and antiquities market. Jace hires a guide, a Kam-no-Kai native named Nyx, a mag tao woman whose connections with the tao underworld and experience as a Glass Desert guide make her the perfect and obvious choice for the mission. What begins as a simple smuggling job turns into a legendary quest when Jace discovers something unexpected in a First Race library, a discovery which leads him directly into the hands of the Equinox Corporation's most ambitious and dangerous project yet: a First Race cloning program. Some extinct races should remain extinct.
They told him it was just a parasite... Jack Fuller's life took a swan dive after he cheated on his wife two years ago. His most recent spate of "bad luck" is a list of symptoms that don't seem to fit any particular disease profile. Internet searches and medical hip shots are as close as he can get to an actual diagnosis. Things get worse when a mysterious blood deposit with no apparent source is found in the middle of his bed. Then there is the intense hunger to contend with, the repeating erotic nightmares and the panic attacks. When the cause of the illness finally manifests, it is wilder than Jack could ever have imagined. The illness has a name. Its name is Jerry.
Intergalactic gentleman and Multiverse traveler, Beasil Benedictus the Ninth, wakes up inside an elaborate trap made of clockwork jails, genetic experiments, and fantastical forests where men are beheaded for sport. Here everything is a game, except you don't get to know the rules.
I am Thomas Hunter, a paranormal investigator and part-time ghost charmer. I walk a thin line where the shadows of perception reshape the definition of reality. I used to be a cop, I used to have a wife. Then I died. When I woke up, I had three entities in my head, a bad case of amnesia, and an insider's view of the occult. I named myself Hunter because it expresses what I do. Lately, two corpses have shown up in the San Francisco morgue. They have something unique about them: they don't decompose. The Vatican claimed them as holy relics, but alive these stiffs were no more Catholic than Crowley. I wasn't the first choice for the case, but I might be the best. See, I find what the cops and private dicks miss, but I have to do it my way. I am Thomas Hunter, and nothing is what it seems.
Avril and I walked away from the accident without a scratch. Now, we're getting married in a quaint and cozy town on the edge of the sea. Here I can finally get my life back. But... I find myself living an existence that can't possibly be mine. I find myself in love, domestic...restless. I have all that I could ever want, except the one thing I need: my crew. It means I'm defenseless. The doctors assure me this is for the best. They tell me my crew was a disease. I don't believe them. Little things add up, my discontent grows. One clue leads to another and I get the idea that things aren't what they seem. I dare to challenge what I see...and I find the shadows deep and all around me. I find my fate linked to Incorruptibles, to black magick conspiracies, to those who would keep me subdued. This case is personal, its debt is severe. Its resolution is the only option. And so I walk alone into that place where the occult and the mundane ride side by side, where death is imminent and insanity a constant threat. The ancients called it Chapel Perilous. I call it staying alive.
My cases aren't like normal cases. I find the secrets the occult world is likely to kill you for. Quit half way and you step into oblivion, misjudge and you might lose your mind. Paranoia is an occupational hazard. They say all roads lead to Rome and, in this case, so do all my clues. Nestled deep within the Vatican clergy-guarded by something with more tricks than Harry Houdini and possessing the moral conscience of a snake-are the answers I've been looking for, so long as I am willing to trade my soul. It's one thing to know when the antichrist has come, it's a whole other kind of crazy when he says he's your brother.

"Occult, paranormal detective fiction. Philip Marlowe meets the Sirius star."I am Thomas Hunter, a paranormal investigator and part-time ghost charmer. The stakes just went up and the case just got personal. Hunter finds himself pacified in the quaint and cozy village of San Ragita, living with Avril, the love of his life, and her charming daughter Jenny. But all too soon it becomes apparent that San Ragita has another purpose that is anything but cozy or quaint. His quest to discover the truth pushes him deeply into a shadow reality where occult phenomena and everyday occurrences are indistinguishable; what the ancient's called Chapel Perilous. Here, Hunter finds that his own existence is tied intimately with those who are made Incorruptible. Now, without his crew and facing his own extinction, Hunter must piece together a slippery trail of clues to discover who or what is behind an insidious black magick conspiracy that threatens to enslave the human race.
It's not only Tenebrosorum vamps that are after Hunter, or an assassin from another plane, but also San Francisco's ruling pack of werewolves. Why? Because they all think he knows the whereabout of the key. He doesn't even know what he had for lunch with all that amnesia caused by the body swapping.Add to that bouts of phantom pain, a keen taste for alcohol and a broken heart and he's going to have one hell of a time staving off the end of the world.
A new Thomas Hunter adventure. The world has changed. The Rise of the Sirius star is showering Earth in a surfeit of occult radiation, giving birth to a host of new phenomena, not the least of which is a novel strain of vampire. The Old-World Therians are in danger of extinction and a new species of bloodsucker is on the rise, and they're not interested in merely sipping blood like a fine wine.It was business-almost-as-usual with Hunter exterminating the regular occult creepy crawlies, and the occasional wayward vamp that just had to get in his way, when a certain blondie showed up on his doorstep.Morgan was sent by Hunter's old friend, Dax, and Hunter wasn't exactly thrilled because in addition to manifesting as Rat Therian, his new guest had one hell of a secret that could threaten a whole lot more than basic sanity. In fact, it just might bring the house down on all of their heads because Morgan had gotten herself in trouble with the vamps known as the Dark Ones who were not only poised to take over the local vampire scene, but the whole damn world. From there it didn't take more than a few rounds loaded into the semi-auto, and his finding of a certain alchemical trinket that might be more important than the Holy Grail, for Hunter to realize they were all in Sirius trouble.
