B viral reactivation is commonly defined as a sudden reappearance, or an increase in viral load of 1 logUI/ml, in a patient with an inactive or resolved B viral infection. It can occur spontaneously, or during states of immunodepression.Several risk factors associated with viral reactivation have been studied in the literature. Some are host-related, such as male sex and young age, while others are related to the B virus, such as virological status (HBsAg - HBeAg) and viral load. Factors related to the type and degree of immunosuppression allow stratification of the risk of reactivation. The aim of our study is to investigate risk factors in the spontaneously reactivating group and in the group of patients undergoing iatrogenic immunosuppression.
