Some of us who have endured tragedy, loss or the trials of life will eventually come to a place of realization that we have survived. You survived the tests, survived the attacks, survived the sickness, survived the rocky relationships, etc. When you know what you have survived you can truly celebrate and live victoriously. However, there are some people that remain in survival mode. In survival mode, you are defensive, walls are up and safety mechanisms are high. You find yourself mistrusting everyone and self-isolating. In order to live victoriously, you have to transition from survival mode to thriving mode. In this mode, you are not surviving but thriving, growing and prospering. This is the moment you re-define your bliss, maintain your peace and live victoriously. As you use this journal, for the next 30 days, your faith will grow stronger and your hope deeper. Hope sustains us and fuels our faith especially during our most difficult days
There are some issues of the heart that often go undealt with for many years. Rejection is one of them. Rejection is like a poison to the soul. It maliciously eats away at a person's self-esteem, self-worth and self-identity. We can experience the rejection from others (divorce, job or friend/family) or even impose self-rejection from shame or guilt. The truth is, all of us at one point in our lives have been the object of rejection. It often stings when it occurs, but we get over it. However, there is some rejection that digs into the core of your heart that leaves feelings of worthlessness, anger, bitterness or defensiveness. People who are rejected, reject others as a defense mechanism. Even Jesus was rejected by his disciples and religious leaders. However, it is through the redeeming love of God that we are made whole. Overcome rejection, one scripture at a time, through this 30-day scripture writing journal. Write the Word, listen to the Word and pray the Word.
As believers in Christ, we know that God is a refuge for us or a place that we can go and be safe. When we are in a relationship with God, we seek to be in the presence of God and abide, live or dwell with God. But can God be a dwelling place in your heart and in your life -- in EVERY season of your life? Can God move into your heart, your mind, and your Spirit permanently? We make space for God, occasionally, but to dwell means to occupy the space. When God dwells in you, God is able to move freely through you and empower you to do what God has called you to do. Being a dwelling place for the Almighty God means that we are not controlled by our fleshly nature, or easily moved by the winds of life's trials. In order to become a dwelling place for the Spirit of God to live in us, it requires obedience and intentionality on self-work, our prayer life, devotional time and quality time with God.
There are many deep emotions that cycle the heart of someone who is grieving and hurting from a traumatic experience. One day may feel like dread and another day may feel like anger or anxiety. As you use this journal, for the next 30 days, your heart will grow stronger and your hope deeper. Hope sustains us and fuels our faith especially during our most difficult days. As you write the word, listen to the word and pray the word, allow the Spirit of the living God to breathe into you every day.
