Joshua's Letters to Jesus was inspired by the work I do with children diagnosed with autism. Autism is a developmental disorder of variable severity that is characterized by difficulty in social interaction and communication and by restricted or repetitive patterns of thought and behavior. Children on the autism spectrum may not feel like they may have a voice due to the severity of the disability.
