Tenho o prazer de apresentar o meu segundo livro com o título "Pharmacology - A Stepping Stone". Neste livro, tentei apresentar as bases e os pormenores simples da Farmacologia, com especial ênfase na Farmacodinâmica, ou seja, no mecanismo de ação dos medicamentos. Este livro sobre drogas/medicamentos destina-se a estudantes de Farmácia, Farmácia, Fisioterapia, Medicina e Enfermagem. Este livro também é útil para uma pessoa comum não técnica, desde que esteja interessada em conhecer os fármacos/medicamentos. Considero-me um estudante de Farmacologia, que ainda está a aprender. Com este livro, tentei partilhar os meus pontos de vista. Este é o meu humilde pedido aos leitores para que enviem as suas valiosas sugestões, para que eu me torne num melhor estudante.

Sono lieto di presentare il mio secondo libro dal titolo "Farmacologia - Un trampolino di lancio". In questo libro ho cercato di presentare le basi e i semplici dettagli della Farmacologia, con particolare attenzione alla Farmacodinamica, cioè al meccanismo d'azione dei farmaci. Questo libro sui farmaci è destinato agli studenti di Farmacia, Farmacia, Fisioterapia, Medicina e Infermieristica. Questo libro è utile anche per una persona comune non tecnica, purché sia interessata a conoscere i farmaci. Mi considero uno studente di Farmacologia che sta ancora imparando. Con questo libro ho cercato di condividere le mie opinioni. Chiedo umilmente ai lettori di inviare i loro preziosi suggerimenti, in modo che io possa diventare uno studente migliore.

J'ai le plaisir de présenter mon deuxième livre intitulé "Pharmacology - A Stepping Stone". Dans ce livre, j'ai essayé de présenter les bases et les détails simples de la pharmacologie en mettant l'accent sur la pharmacodynamie, c'est-à-dire le mécanisme d'action des médicaments. Ce livre sur les médicaments est destiné aux étudiants en pharmacie, en physiothérapie, en médecine et en soins infirmiers. Ce livre est également utile pour une personne ordinaire non technique, à condition qu'elle soit intéressée par la connaissance des médicaments. Je me considère comme un étudiant en pharmacologie, qui est encore en train d'apprendre. Avec ce livre, j'ai essayé de partager mon point de vue. Je demande humblement aux lecteurs de me faire part de leurs précieuses suggestions, afin que je devienne un meilleur étudiant.

Ich freue mich, mein zweites Buch mit dem Titel "Pharmakologie - Ein Sprungbrett" vorstellen zu können. In diesem Buch habe ich versucht, die Grundlagen und einfachen Details der Pharmakologie darzustellen, mit besonderem Schwerpunkt auf der Pharmakodynamik, d.h. dem Wirkmechanismus von Arzneimitteln. Dieses Buch über Drogen/Medikamente ist für Studenten der B. Pharmazie, der D. Pharmazie, der Physiotherapie, der Medizin und der Krankenpflege gedacht. Dieses Buch ist auch für eine gewöhnliche nicht-technische Person nützlich, vorausgesetzt, man ist daran interessiert, etwas über Drogen/Medikamente zu erfahren. Ich betrachte mich selbst als Pharmakologiestudent, der noch am Lernen ist. Durch dieses Buch habe ich versucht, meine Ansichten mitzuteilen. Dies ist meine bescheidene Bitte an die Leser, mir ihre wertvollen Vorschläge zukommen zu lassen, damit ich mich als besserer Student erweisen kann.

Ayurvedic and herbal approaches for cancer treatment are very popular among Indian patients. Ayurveda is made of two Sanskrit words: Ayu which means life and Veda which means knowledge. Rasayanas literally means ¿the path of juice¿ or ¿juice incorporate¿ are group of complex herbal drug preparations widely used in Ayurveda to improve the general health of body. These have immunostimulatory effect. They are not directly cytotoxic to tumor cells but have shown to inhibit the growth of ascites and solid tumor in mice. Rasayans could increase survival. Rasayans also reduce myelosuppression in patients receiving chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

The changing life style & environmental conditions have predisposed common man towards numerous diseases. Exploration of indiäs rich natural resources for the search of pharmacologically active constituents dates back to several thousands of years has documented in the religious scriptures of that period. Some of the discoveries of those days have found their applications in modern western medicines. To bring this drug into the market a proper clinical validation is required without this these cannot be accepted in international market. UK is hub of this type of medicine from plant sources frequently used by locality and mostly prescribe by unauthorized medical practitioners. People get cured sometimes meracuresly but the data is not valid in international scenario in terms of that drugs. In nutshell human trials have been performed without animal trials. Fulfillment of this lacuna by defining the clinical trials on animal models will be the aim of this write up.
