From the introduction: We live in a culture that is biblically illiterate. For many Non-Christians such ignorance is understandable, but sadly, many Christians know the Bible no better than their non-Christian neighbors. Many of the challenges to Christianity today revolve around the nature of the Bible and who the Bible teaches that Jesus was (and is), particularly around the historical development of the New Testament books, especially the Gospels. For these reasons I felt compelled to write this little book.
"Dealing with some of the most complicated and pithiest religious challenges today, this little book moves quickly and is even enjoyable to read. It is not easy to put down. How often do you hear that? The ingredients are a mix of intriguing one-liners, thoughtful comments that need to be re-read, along with many twists and turns. These are just some of the benefits. Try it out!"Gary R. Habermas, Distinguished Professor of Philosophy, Liberty University School of Divinity"Bob Stewart engages several of the most common questions that skeptics bring up in everyday conversation-and he does this in a clear, inviting, and very helpful way. Professor Stewart has a tremendous depth of knowledge on each topic, but it is also clear that he is skillfully holding back on all that he has to say in order to give us the very best brief yet powerful answer to each challenging question. What a delightful and valuable little book!"Craig J. Hazen, Talbot School of Theology, Biola University"Professor Stewart know apologetics so deeply that he can present it simply and convincingly. This book provides clear and sturdy reasons to believe the Christian message is true as well as answers major objections against it."Douglas Groothuis, Professor of Philosophy, Denver Seminary, and author of Christian Apologetics (InterVarsity Academic) "Over the years that I have been talking to college students about Jesus, faith, and culture I have often thought that it would be nice to have an affordable book written with as little philosophical jargon as possible to offer my audiences. This little book is intended as a first attempt at this modest yet surprisingly-difficult-to-attain goal. . . . What I have to offer in these pages is not a textbook but hopefully a way to think about some of the difficult questions students in particular are asking and struggling to answer today." - From the Introduction

Does God's command to love your enemy include forgiving the drunk driver who killed your only child? It's Christmas Eve, but Frank and Elizabeth Morris have no reason to celebrate. Joy, peace on earth, and good will toward men have been replaced by heartbreak, hatred, and bitterness. Their beloved only child, eighteen-year-old Ted, has just died from injuries sustained in a horrific automobile accident. Days later, they would learn that their son had been killed at the hands of a drunk driver. The Morrises' strong Christian faith is shaken to its foundations as grief chokes every bit of hope and joy from their lives. They demand the death penalty for their son's killer, a young alcoholic named Tommy Pigage. When the charges are reduced from murder to manslaughter, they are outraged by the injustice of it all-and anguished by God's seeming indifference to their suffering. Tormented by their inability to "love their enemy", they continue to stumble through dark days and darker nights. It isn't until Elizabeth opens up her car door-and her heart-to the troubled young man who killed her son that the light of God's transforming love begins to seep through the cracks of their broken lives. Includes Study Guide with Questions for Classes, Book Clubs, and Reader Groups by New York Times bestselling author Teresa Medeiros "One of the most moving true life stories I've ever read. A genuine life-changer. Should be required reading for every teen who drives so they can witness firsthand the true cost of drunk driving."-Teresa Medeiros, New York Times bestselling author
