A Fox Indian marries a white woman and they have a son together. Jimmy Honoki, the Indian, begins to feel an awakening of his heritage after the birth. The place where he was born becomes more important to him but it is now at the bottom of a lake. His desire to return to his homeland causes great stress in his life until he blows up a portion of the dam in an attempt to reclaim what he feels belongs to him. His best friend and his wife become involved in attempting to help him adjust to his problems and become accomplices in covering up his crime. His crime goes unnoticed and the lake drains when environmental activists prevent repair of the dam. Jimmy Honoki, a Prince in the Fox nation, regains pride in his heritage and begins to prepare his rightful homeland for his son.
