Performed amidst protest and anarchy in Paris in 1921 at the Galerie Montaigne, it is one of the most recognizable theatre pieces inspired by the iconoclastic poetry movement known as Dada. The original text of this edition includes an English translation of the play in addition to poems and writings of the surrealist artists influenced by Tzara.
