A Voice in the Wilderness series is that same voice in Isaiah chapter 40 that cries out to make the crooked way straight, the rough places plain, and to prepare the way of the Lord. For the last couple of generations, the Church has slowly changed its focus from a message of holiness in the fear of God to one of grace in the blessings of God. While the intentions were good, the results were not. We lost something in the exchange, and by now, we have forgotten what it was.The old Holy Ghost outpourings have disappeared. The crowds of healing miracles are missing. Our altars for salvation are bare. The sermons are boring lectures instead of inspired messages from the Throne of God. Our prayer lives have become anemic, and our Bible reading is minimal. And we wonder what happened to the presence of God in our services. There is an answer. Each volume of A Voice in the Wilderness contains a series of articles that were written over the years to expose our slow descent into apostasy and loss of what once was a vibrant Church. These books call to wake the Church to see the path she is traveling down and point the way back to revival.
In 2011, Brother Dale answered a one-line email request to bring revival to Uganda. Answering that email began an introduction into an incredible tale of the supernatural as he went across Uganda to bring his message of revival. As he traveled from the arid north to the lush western parts of Uganda, he found a people in that were desperately thirsty for God. He watched as God poured out His waters onto these thirsty souls and met their desperation with supernatural outpourings of the Holy Spirit, miraculous healings, and the tangible power of the Gospel. Brother Dale has been to Uganda many times since, but this trip more than any other has always felt like the foundational trip that set the stage for all the others that would come later. It was on this trip that the focus was set and the vision was planted. You could feel the weight of something great, the enormity being hidden but felt nonetheless. Something was about to be created that was bigger than a simple evangelistic trip to an African nation in darkness. The harvest of revival was coming. The sound of an abundance of rain could be heard. It wasn't here yet, but it was coming. The famine and drought were about to end. There was a scent of rain. .
The Church has drifted into a slumber over the past few generations. She doesn't see it in herself, but rather, rustles up her skirts in pride whenever it is pointed out to her. She sees herself as Esther but is more like the widow of Zarepath.Revival is truly coming, but the path that leads to it will be hard. There will have to be a time of deep, broken repentance before the Church is ready to receive the outpouring that is coming.A Voice in the Wilderness is just that - a voice that is crying to make the paths straight again to prepare the way for the coming of this Great Endtime Revival, the greatest revival of all time, and for the advent of our long-awaited Savior. This volume may very well be the last in this series. We are quickly approaching what may be the Church's final call.
I started this trip as a sort of maintenance effort. I had first come to Kenya twelve years earlier and wanted to know how the churches were still doing. This is what Paul did - go back and make sure they are still on fire.I started at one end of Kenya and travelled the distance to the other side. Everywhere we went, we met an unsatiated hunger for God. Not just for the idea of God or a new form of worship, but for a deep and enduring personal experience with the Spirit of God. They were starving. It's hard to say, but I got the very distinct impression that He was just as hungry for them as they were for Him. I say that because wherever we went we were met with the powerful presence of God. These were His precious children, and He was in love with them. There is a drawing power to the Holy Spirit that extends past physical barriers. We would be way out in the Bush and people would come from everywhere. The power of God drew them in. God is moving here. This was supposed to be a finishing of my previous trips to Kenya. I have a feeling it was more of a new beginning.
A Light in the Bush takes the reader into the interior of the African bush to shine the Light of the Gospel in a land of deep darkness. The Maasai have been under the oppression of darkness for generations. A Light in the Bush is about going there to shine Light in that darkness and lay the groundwork for revival. Each chapter pulls the reader in to discover what it is like to minister in these remote areas where few, if any, Westerners have been and to witness the miracles and the explosive power of the Holy Spirit as it ignites these people. This is not about a typical church mission trip. It is not to "minister" to some villagers out in the bush and come back satisfied that we helped the indigent in some way. This is a mission to wage war against an enemy who has had dominion over these areas for thousands of years and is not willing to give it up.This book takes the reader into the midst of a battlefield to experience it as if you were there yourself.
Go with Brother Dale as he brings a message of repentance and revival to hungry souls across the city of Nairobi. Each day is filled with more incredible experiences than the day before. From the garbage-filled industrial areas and the slums where hopelessness covers the land like a dark cloud to churches small and large where the fire had gone out, everywhere he takes us is an experience in the power of a hope in God that is rarely seen in America. The Light that shines in the dark corners he introduces us to is a blazing inspiration of what God can do with someone who will trust Him and a testimony of a resurgence of hope from a people who are starving for God.
Four Steps to Revival grew out of a series of messages that have been preached across Africa for the last ten years. As the messages developed and were spread, people began to ask for a written copy to keep after Brother Dale was gone. As the messages grew and new revelations were added, the booklet grew into the book it is today.Six principles of revival are explained as a foundation that must be in place before any revival can ignite. Then four distinct steps of action are outlined as a plan to take any church from an initial realization to vibrant prayer and soul-winning. This book works! Approximately 50,000 copies have been distributed across Africa and the message continues to inspire and encourage people. It has been carried into many areas that have never seen the Light of the Gospel and is responsible for hundreds of churches being planted and thousands of souls receiving Christ. In many cases, using the principles explained in Four Steps to Revival, pastors have seen as many as 300 churches planted in just a few years. This short book explains in a simple way the things that are holding us back from a true Holy Ghost revival and outlines from Biblical references what we have to do to get one. The simplicity of the basic principles given in the book makes it easy for everyone to understand and to implement. As a result, pastors in many countries carry Four Steps to Revival along with their Bibles to bring revival to their churches. Not only are the principles of revival explained, but Four Steps to Revival brings to light the specific prophesies about the last great revival promised just before the return of Jesus Christ, giving the reader great confidence that if these principles are followed, revival will surely come. Not only will revival come, but it will be the greatest revival of all time.
