Following Jesus today looks far different than what it looked like back when the early Church was birthed. Following Jesus has become so "user friendly" that it doesn't look anything like Peter's life, Paul's life, or John's life. It has the look and smell of the world and little resemblance of Jesus anymore. We hear leftover sermons from lukewarm preachers who then want our best offering! Where are the Bible scholars who eat up His word? In the days of Noah, there were two groups of people: the preparing and the unprepared. The unprepared were ignoring Noah's words and giving themselves to every day life; such as eating, drinking, working, building houses (ministries), and planting gardens (churches). The preparing ones were building that which would save them from sudden disaster! It was too late to switch groups when the raindrops began to fall!
