'Celebrating Greater Eccles Community - Creativity - Enterprise - Culture' OVERVIEW of our Ecclesiasts Edition Celebrating Ecclesiasts Greater Eccles is our first edition of photographs 'celebrating the communities' of Cadishead, Irlam, Barton, Peel Green, Patricroft, Winton, Worsley, Monton, Ellesmere Park & Eccles. Greater Eccles is a unique place in history, picture below are the Eccles Wakes of yesteryear and held each year over three days in late August. The Wakes were held in and around the Parish Church of St Mary The Virgin in the centre of the town. Eccles developed around the 13th Century Church of St Mary The Virgin (picture as per the Wakes). There is some evidence of prehistoric human development, but the area was agricultural until the industrial revolution, when a textile industry was developed in the town(1750s). The arrival of the Liverpool to Manchester Railway (1830), the world's first passenger railway and the Bridgewater Canal (1761) the world's first navigable canal plus the arrival of the Manchester Ship Canal (1894) and the UKs first commercial municipal airfield Aerodrome at Barton by the Air Ministry have positioned Greater Eccles as a Global Transport Heritage Centre. Eccles also became the first municipal corporation in England to operate a motorised fire engine in 1901. It was supplied to Eccles Corporation by a local firm, the Protector Lamp and Lighting Co., also known for manufacturing Miners' Safety Lamps). SCENARIO - Ecclesiasts Celebrating Eccles celebrates the unique story of Greater Eccles (Cadishead, Irlam, Peel Green, Patricroft, Winton, Worsley, Monton, Ellesmere Park, Eccles & Barton) by developing a global platform which emphasizes the rich Cultural, Creative, Enterprise and Community heritage of the area and is twinned in this project with Celebrating Lowell (USA) and Celebrating Hadera (Israel) & Celebrating Kilmallock (Ireland). Celebrating Eccles focuses particularly on our cultural heritage by appreciating what it is and has been like to have been born, to live or to work in Eccles. See us on FaceBook & Twitter & LinkedIn. PHOTOGRAPHIC & VISUAL MEMOIRES: We encourage you to send us your photographs for inclusion in future editions, which include: Ecclesiasts (typically but not exclusively 18th, 19th & 20th century) representing our community in the past. Be Ecclesiast (typically but not exclusively 21st century) representing our community in the early part of this century. Go Ecclesiast (typically, but not exclusively ideas and images for the 21st century) representing our community in the middle and latter part of this century. WRITTEN & SPOKEN MEMOIRES: We are looking for contributions in words & pictures for what it has been like to have been 'Born, Live or Work in Greater Eccles' an area of 80,000 people and 3,000 businesses. Our Ecclesiasts Edition (typically but not exclusively covers the 18th, 19th & 20th centuries) and aims to 'represent' our community in the past. In this 'Ecclesiasts Edition we include 188 'old and older' photographs (all rights acknowledged) of our TEN Go Ecclesiast communities. The manufacturer has the responsibility to create the products and services which initiate the channel process. A selection of the recent economic and technology influences and trends which guide their approach include product service integration, logistic / supply chain management, technological agility, lean manufacturer and international organisation building; these and many other impacts have placed manufacturers into a constant state of development. It can be seen by the shape of the graph above that manufacturers have in many cases been losing the fight to stay ahead of the trends that have impacting on them over the last 20 years and many have gone out of business and many more have entered our industry from areas outside of traditional printing; as can been seen by the changes in the exhibitor population of Graph Expo - Chicago (one of our international reference points) between 1993 and 2015 for example. However, this dynamism has and will continue to shape the channel in the years to come, as more players with more technology. After a lifetime building global distribution channels for manufacturers across the print world, we thought it was time to present the 'Trade Exhibition' in more detail as part of the Global Print Media Channel, this is merely an introduction in order to outline the work, the value, the role and purpose of the print trade exhibition i.e. the originator and creator of the 'promotable' product and/or service as a forum for marketing via the channel.Exhibitions: assist and support the other members of the GlobalPrintMedia Channel and provide and promote collective efforts to support the channel of the printing industry; with a focus on providing exhibitions for our industry as 'meeting places'. The framework for this perspective of adds into the mix two virtual emerging developments in trade show organising being made by Wayne Beckett (Printing Expo Online UK) and Cesar Lizano Depo (PrintAMERICAS USA) and makes a very early examination of how their (and others) initiatives may, could, will affect, change and develop the 'Physical to the Virtual Trade Show' commercial paradigm; when compared to the likes and for example the established indigenous players such as: Drupa, LabelExpo, ChinaPrint, PRINT (as was), PrintUnited, IPEX (as was), TPG (as was), GulfPrint&Pack, GEC (as was) et al. The 'as was' examples are used to present the case and suppport exhibitons as 'invaluable' although maybe not irreplacable meeting places. Many of us were brought up in our industry attending local shows, then occasionally regional shows and then even less occasionally at national shows and then exceptionally at international shows (of which Drupa has for decades been the prime example). Now the local and regional and most of the national have gone and the market is orientating itself to supra shows on 'regionally global basis' and this together with the changing technology landscape presents or suggests the opportunity for the two iterations of online shows (and others as they emerge), mentioned above. enter the field.
The fact that the most vulnerable with the least financial resources, pay several times as much for their credit servicing (due to fraudulent credit risk accounting) as everyone else is simply unjust. Our Legislators & Regulators have been allowing Credit Card Companies to take pecuniary advantage for far too long, mainly because vulnerable consumers have no resources and are easy prey to this form of penury & financial slavery? Credit Exploitation by credit card companies is the most visceral example of this new form of 'corporate incarnate' poverty maker in the UK. Credit Card Companies have knowingly and deliberately used less than ethical, legal, moral & generally acceptable financial tactics to harass, intimidate & abuse vulnerable U.K. consumers. The Royal Bank of Scotland has adopted a Collateralised Credit Exploitation (CCE) approach to extracting monies without any reasonable justification. RBS are in clear breach of several acts of parliament (both UK & European) as well as the express instructions of the Financial Conduct Authority, in this matter. The Royal Bank of Scotland has failed to respond, communicate or engage (in this example) to 50+ letters sent to several members of staff and directors incl CEO Alison Rose since 2012. The Royal Bank of Scotland has been offered several offers of resolution and has effectively rejected each one. The Royal Bank of Scotland has no right to destroy the lives of innocent & vulnerable people especially one example who at 65+ years and with no income, no savings and no pension has had his life destroyed by their ruinous business practices. The Royal Bank of Scotland has Stolen Lives; they are Poverty Makers and have consistently and have and are deliberately grinded people into financial servitude via this abhorrent social injustice. The case against the Royal Bank of Scotland is the subject of further forensic investigation.
