Back in November 2010, I had the opportunity to visit Israel. One of the places we stopped was Tabgha, on the north-west shore of the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus prepared breakfast for his disciples, and where He 'reinstated' Peter. As I leaned up against the rock plateau on which Peter and Jesus likely sat side-by-side, I felt as though I heard Jesus whispering those same words to me, "David, feed my lambs. Take care of my sheep. Feed my sheep."If I fail to believe God's Word, if I fail to instruct, if I fail to lead and encourage, then I have failed this call miserably. As I was thinking about writing this book, I had no qualms about poking the proverbial hornets' nest. I knew many of the answers would be contentious, but I also knew they had to be stated. This is not a book that needs to be liked. It is a book that discusses a deadly problem and its cause, that is the division in the church, and it clearly lays out the [drastic] corrective remedies needed.Almost from the outset of the COVID epidemic, a clear divide has ruptured many church communities but, I want to emphasize from the outset that COVID is not the cause of the problem, it is merely a symptom of a much, much deeper problem.
David Harrison's childhood was marred with the trauma of abuse. As an adolescent, he turned to substance abuse to dull the pain. Lost in a private Christian school system with no support, he thought he was stupid-that he'd never amount to anything. And he believed it all. Feeling broken and unfixable, he began to see suicide as the only escape from hopelessness. But a friend's death changed Harrison's life. Far from driving him deeper into despair, his friend's passing triggered a spiritual encounter with God that set the young man on a search for deeper truth about himself-and the world in which he lived.Working alongside missionaries that helped victims of the sex trade, Harrison found himself inspired to help heal those who were rescued from this denigrating world and restore their identities. At the same time, he faced the pain so necessary for his own healing to begin. This is Harrison's inspiring story as he peels away the layers of his past to realize his life was based on a negative script written by others-a script he needed to rewrite. All proceeds from Who Am I? Drugs to Dreams go to Destiny Rescue, an organization rescuing children trapped in the sex trade.

This book explores the role of expectations within the modern capitalist system. Through looking at how they are formed and develop, the impact of events that lead to a collapse in expectations, such as a major financial crisis, is examined to highlight the precarious and unstable nature of the economic system. With a particular focus on the UK and USA, it is also considered how public policy and institutions can shift the balance away from speculation and back towards enterprise. This book aims to conceptualise instability and highlight how economic and regulatory policy can limit it. It will be relevant to researchers and policymakers interested in economic policy and regulatory reform.
