Brandon Chapman arrives home to a horrific scene. His wife is exhibiting behaviour that he can only describe as that of someone possessed, yet he has no belief in the supernatural. She is bewildered when he approaches her, and they very quickly fall for one another. Niel is involved in a terrible traffic accident and ends up in a coma. Fearing he may never wake up, Alice makes a deal with a strange voice, unaware of the consequences that follow. When Niel awakes, his behaviour has drastically changed, and Alice, like Brandon, becomes subject to nightmarish, violent visions.
