The book is both earthy and heavenly. It is earthy as it deals with the pain, upheavals, disappointments, sickness, bereavement, challenges, and humanity that confronts a minister in his call to love and care for his congregation/community as well as his own personal challenges in carrying out the mandate of the gospel; the mandate in caring and shepherding the flock God has placed in his care, but also in fulfilling the Divine Commission to "go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature...."

Stolen Wealth: Book eight of the Sean Murphy series. The story opens with Sean assisting Sarah, his significant other, with her PI practice. The first significant case entails a kidnapping of a child by the cartel to satisfy the family's debt. Next, a character from Treasure (book 6) is enticing Colonel Anderson with what he claims is Joseph Goebbels's diary. If authentic, the diary tells where to find Hitler's Treasure Train, a train long thought to be a myth. This myth has driven treasure hunters to search the backwoods of Poland for years following the false trail Goebbels constructed in 1945. If the diary is true, the train was hidden under the nose of the German Democratic Republic since 1945 and guarded by the Loyale Bruderschaft. While following clues in Goebbels diary, they are attacked by the Bruderschaft, Sean is hospitalized, and Anderson abducted. Gundi, an agent in the German equivalent of the FBI, is brought into play by Anderson's German son. Lucinda is part of Anderson's backup team. It doesn't end well for the three 'brownshirts' who get between the two lethal females who were in the midst of a badass contest. Recovery of the train results in a windfall finder's fee for Eyeball after a negotiated settlement with the German government. Meanwhile, 4,200 miles away, Sarah continued her search for the child slave trade ringleaders. On his return home, Sean must find Sarah who was taken by the cartel.

The Congressman is the third short novel in the Sam Goodwin series. Sam, a retired Boston Police Department canine handler has been drafted by the Mayor of Boston to run for a vacant congressional seat when he seeks help for his neighbor. She is being threatened by the Department of Homeland Security, along with other Iraqi refugees, to be forcibly repatriated to make housing available for undocumented immigrants.Once in Congress, there is an uptick in senior deaths nationwide traced to a homeopathic health supplement. Sam and fellow freshman House members take on the challenge to find the cause. At the center of the mystery is a prominent campaign donor. Sam soon finds himself on the 'outs' with the Speaker of the House.When an assault on Sam's wife occurs, Maxie, Sam's eighty-pound German Shepherd, takes down the two assailants. The one that is still able to talk provides the FBI with critical information that leads to a 'bought' Congressman.

The Brotherhood is the fourth novel in my Sean Murphy series. As with the first three, it is short and can be digested in one trip flying across the country. In this story, Sean and his lady friend, an FBI agent, are both assigned to the GOP's lead candidate; Sarah, on the candidate's security team, and Sean, under Eyeball Inc.'s contract with the FBI, to clear the woods of threats. The Aryans have the candidate in their sights. When Sarah and a campaign aid are kidnapped, Sean's team is mobilized, and hostages are retrieved with only a minor insult to the Canadians. Funding for the Aryans is provided by a successful Silicon Valley CEO. The Justice Department is reluctant to investigate. Agent Dillion puts his career on the line and, with Eyeball's help, launches a clandestine operation to take the CEO down.

North Koreans are after him, the FBI wants him, and drug dealers fear him. His adventures take him to Lakeview where he poses as a doctor, to Long Island for the rescue of his kidnapped grandchildren, and finally to Texas for the capture of a cartel drug lord in Texas's Big Bend country. In the end, he finally gets satisfaction in Istanbul.About the AuthorDon Allen currently resides in Northern Virginia. He is a retired Civil Servant and spent twenty-four years working for the United States Navy. He has two sons who have given him three granddaughters who can't be spoiled too much. His wife of forty-eight years is deceased. Upon HS graduation, Allen was off to see the world. After two Army enlistments, he attended the University of Massachusetts. He earned BS and MS degrees in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research. His hobbies include photography and genealogy.
