Highways and street roads all over the world use tonnage of asphalt concrete for maintenance, rehabilitation and reconstruction. Tonnages of reclaimed asphalt pavement and base materials are not reused to save the cost of construction and rehabilitation. Reclaimed pavement materials are being replaced by conversional ones thinking that they are waste. They are not waste, they are alternative low cost, low energy and time saving materials for road works.
