I was born into the religion of Jehovah's Witnesses and was raised by my forebears with the single-minded goal to be baptized in the name of the Lord, Jehovah. Lucky me. There was a problem with this monomaniacal plan. I was an atheist as far back as I could remember. Before I continue, I'd like to make the following requisite statement, which I think is very important to articulate. I promised myself that I did not want to make another Jehovah's Witness bashing book. There are plenty of those available. It is important to note that the Jehovah's Witnesses are a cult, just like every other religion but there is some real danger to this unusual sect of Christianity. You will be called to sacrifice your child's life to God if they require a blood transfusion to save their life. You will be forced into not pursuing higher education, the sole purpose of your existence to preach the "Good News". Women are to be submissive to male counterparts at all times. I can truly say that this is not the religion you should be looking at if you want answers to life's yearning questions.
