The Chivalry of the South is a historical novel written by Emily Anne Eliza Shirreff and published in 1864. The book takes place during the American Civil War and focuses on the lives of several characters living in the southern states. The story follows the lives of two sisters, Mary and Lucy, who are forced to flee their home in Virginia after it is destroyed by Union soldiers.
