The volume presents a collection of articles on the use of 3D printing technology in mathematics education and in mathematics teacher training. It contains both basic research-oriented contributions as well as reflected descriptions of concrete developments for teaching. The authors of this compilation share a positive attitude towards the possibilities that the use of 3D printing technology (understood as an interplay of software and hardware) can unfold for mathematics education, but critically evaluate from a mathematics education research perspective when, where and how an application can enable an added value for the learning of a mathematical content.

Der Band stellt eine mathematikdidaktische Zusammenschau zum Einsatz digitaler Medien und Werkzeuge im Mathematikunterricht sowie in der Lehramtsausbildung Mathematik dar. Enthalten sind sowohl grundlagenorientierte Beitrage als auch reflektierte Praxisbeitrage. Die Autor*innen des Sammelwerks teilen eine positive Grundeinstellung zu den Moglichkeiten, die digitale Werkzeuge und Medien fur den Mathematikunterricht entfalten konnen, wagen aber jeweils aus mathematikdidaktischer Perspektive kritisch ab, wann, wo und wie ein Einsatz einen fachinhaltlichen und fachdidaktischen Mehrwert ermoglichen kann.

Interdisciplinary teaching is considered as one of the main goals of education worldwide. At the same time, it poses an immense challenge to teachers who have been trained in only one of the combines subjects. This is true even for closely related disciplines such as mathematics and physics. In this volume, practice-oriented educational comparisons are made across various topics that are highly relevant in both subjects. Furthermore, practical examples are presented in the form of lesson plans in which exemplary implementation in class is presented, considering both educational perspectives.

Frederik Dilling untersucht Einsatzmöglichkeiten der 3D-Druck-Technologie für den Mathematikunterricht in der Sekundarstufe II. Dazu wird diese in die fachdidaktische Forschung sowie in die aktuellen curricularen Vorgaben für das Fach Mathematik eingeordnet. Der Autor diskutiert am Beispiel der Analysis die nachfolgenden vier konkreten, an der Universität Siegen entwickelten Einsatzmöglichkeiten vor einem stoffdidaktischen Hintergrund: Funktionen einer sowie zweier Veränderlicher, Tangenten an Funktionsgraphen und der Hauptsatz der Differential- und Integralrechnung.
