Bovine infections are a group of infectious diseases caused by pathogens in cattle. There are various types of bovine infections such as bluetongue, botulism, bovine tuberculosis, bovine viral diarrhea (BVD), brucellosis, foot and mouth disease, actinobacillosis, Johne's disease, psoroptic mange, Schmallenberg virus, and transmissible spongiform encephalopathies (TSE). Wooden tongue or Actinobacillosis is one of the most common types of bovine infection caused by Actinobacillosis Lignieresii bacteria. This disease affects the soft tissues present in the mouth region in adult cattle. The most common symptoms of wooden tongue include the inability to eat or drink, drooling, painful and swollen tongue, and ulcers on tongue.
