Widely recognized as Britain's top medium, Gordon Smith here answers the deeper questions that people ask of the spirit world, the big questions of life and death. For most of the time people go to Gordon Smith's public events in the hope of hearing messages from loved ones who have passed. The information that Gordon is able to share is world-renowned for its astonishing accuracy and detail - information that he could not possibly have discovered by any other means. This information reunites people with their loved ones and gives them comfort and solace. But sometimes we all want to know the answers to questions that go beyond the narrowly personal, questions that are equally relevant to all human beings:What happens to us after death? Is there a Heaven and a Hell? Why do bad things happen more to some people than to others? To what extent are our lives predestined?Do we reincarnate? Are spirit guides a type of angel? In order to answer these questions and penetrate the deeper mysteries of the human condition, Gordon Smith has here gone into a very deep trance to consult his own spirit guide. The answers he has brought back will amaze, illuminate and inspire.
An ancient Northumbrian sea port town located on England's north-east coast, Blyth has been a thriving port since medieval times. Thanks to recent regenerations and redevelopment, the town has overcome the effects of declining industry in the recent past. The views in this book allow the reader to look back at Blyth over the years and rediscover aspects long-forgotten. Author Gordon Smith guides us through the streets, through the park and along the promenade just as thousands have walked before us.
Gordon Smith, hailed as the UK's most accurate Spiritual Medium, is respected internationally both for his ability to convey precise messages from the Spirit World. In this book, he sheds light on how mediums and psychics get their information; why spirits choose to communicate with us; the truth about ghosts, poltergeists and hauntings.
The town of Blyth is not a very old town like its big neighbour Newcastle. When Blyth became the Borough of Blyth in 1922 the motto on its coat of arms was 'We Grow by Industry'. The town began its 'modern' life in the mid-nineteenth century as a port, and as the port developed, so did the town. The land surrounding the port was owned mainly by the Ridley family and the trustees of the Thoroton and Croft estate. These three names can still be found in the names of streets and some of the buildings. One of the earliest industries here was shipbuilding and of course, mining. Both are long gone, but still remain in the minds of the older generation. As technology changed, mines got deeper and ships got larger, so Blyth expanded. The focus of the town moved from the quayside as land became available, the river that flowed through the town was piped and the land reclaimed. This visual history will show you how much has changed in Blyth through time.
