El presente libro es el fruto del interés, amor y dedicación que tengo a los camélidos sudamericanos. En este libro el lector encontrará una valiosa información de esta especie de animal más conocido comúnmente como guanaco y que se encuentra en la Reserva Nacional de Calipuy entre las provincias de Santiago de Chuco y Virú del Departamento de La Libertad-Perú. Esta obra esta dividida en 4 capítulos: Conocer las características y el comportamiento social de esta especie; muestra a detalle lo es la Reserva Nacional de Calipuy; la normatividad legal vigente que existe para esta especie y se muestra un glosario de términos ecológicos que son utilizados cuando de trabaja con esta especie y en estas áreas. Además servirá como una obra de consulta para los estudiantes, técnicos, profesionales y personas interesadas que quieran conocer sobre esta especie.
