Melmoth, The Wanderer: A Play In Five Acts (1915) is a dramatic work written by Gustav Davidson. The play is based on the novel Melmoth the Wanderer by Charles Maturin and follows the story of a man named Melmoth who has made a deal with the devil and is cursed to wander the earth for eternity. Melmoth encounters various characters throughout his travels, including a young woman named Imogen who he tries to seduce. The play explores themes of sin, redemption, and the consequences of making deals with the devil. The five acts of the play are set in different locations, including a monastery, a prison, and a graveyard.
