One of the greatest problems affecting technological development and indeed mechanized agricultural development in Nigeria is the absence of local processing machine. It has been noted that the present day agricultural processing machines or equipment are being out sourced which makes them very expensive and cannot therefore be conveniently procured by average individuals. Since the use of home-made designed and constructed machines can largely reduce the hard work and stress associated with beans processing, increase productivity and improved the nation¿s economy, a hand operated portable machine for shelling bean coat was developed and tested on bean seeds.

This research work attempted to model an integrated water management system in an advancing country, Nigeria, that can serve as a hallmark for knowledge-base since there is still limited knowledge and documents on the IWRM modeling practice not just in Nigeria but globally. This research adopted a mixed research design, data collection from respondents was done using a questionnaire while the development of IWRM model was started by reviewing existing literatures on the subject, before further attempt was made to design a systematic approach for the modelling practice.
