This publication is for skill levels I through 4 soldiers holding MOS 92R and for trainer and first-line supervisors. It contains standardized training objectives, in the form of task summaries, which can be used to train and evaluate soldiers on critical tasks, which support unit missions during wartime. Soldiers holding MOS 92R should have access to this publication. It should be made available in work areas, unit learning centers, and unit libraries. Trainers and first-line supervisors should actively plan for soldiers to have access to this publication. However, it is not intended that an individual copy be available for each soldier holding the MOS. All tasks in this manual are trained to wartime conditions for Active Army, Army Reserve, and Army National Guard Component soldiers.

The doctrine of explosives and demolitions focuses on the procedures that support the combat operations provided by engineer capabilities to the combined arms team. This doctrine will assist Army branch schools in teaching the integration of engineer explosive capabilities into Army operations. Engineer involvement is a given for nearly every military operation. The degree of involvement will include one or more of the roles associated with engineers performing demolition missions in support of the maneuver commander. Special Forces Mounted Detachments are prepared to infiltrate and operate in low or medium intensity conflicts over terrain consisting of high deserts with rugged mountains to low deserts with sand dunes and salt marshes. The capability of these detachments to travel unassisted long distances in enemy rear areas gives the Joint Forces Commander/Commander Joint Special Operations Task Force an effective tool. Mounted detachments must develop the following capabilities: - Operate and communicate over long distances. - Operate effectively and continually in a hostile air environment that may severely limit or prevent air support. - Operate in rugged terrain, both on and off road. - Make on-site repairs on all equipment using the skills of the detachment members and on- board tools and parts.

Information operations (IO) are essential to the successful execution of military operations. Whose first aid dressing should be used on a casualty? Training Circular (TC) 4-02.1 provides first aid techniques and guidance for Soldiers. FM 3-18 is the principal manual for Special Forces (SF) doctrine. It describes SF roles, missions, capabilities, organization, mission command, employment, and sustainment operations across the range of military operations. ATP 2-01.3 Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield / Battlespace constitutes current doctrine on how to systematically evaluate the effects of significant characteristics of the operational environment for specific missions. Hybrid warfare is a military strategy that blends conventional warfare, irregular warfare and cyberwarfare. Field Manual (FM) 3-05.230, Special Forces Tactical Facilities, supports key United States (U.S.) Army Special Forces (SF) doctrine.
