In a series of stories, Heidi Watts describes more than 50 years of summers on a group of small islands off the eastern coast of Nova Scotia. In deeply personal recollections, Heidi describes life in an isolated fishing community, watching the sharp decline in fish and a community in transition. "I wanted to celebrate the beauty of the islands, the land, and the sea-and I wanted to honor a way of life which evolved over 150 years and disappeared in less than 50.
