Aneas, an Elfin boy, has to find and set free a vast treasure that belongs to his people, the Neiblings. Four nutty kids accompany Aneas on his treacherous journey, while evading evil forces bent on stopping him. Excerpt: It flapped it's massive wings, once, twice, it's immense bulk rising incredibly with each powerful flap. It's heft would pull it, naturally, toward earth, but the wings would flap again - a slow, folding wave that ran from front to back - allowing it to slowly lift again. Hovering up and down like that, the dragon turned her gaze sharply toward the gunships high above. The aircraft, like black spiders suspended in the sky, were facing the dragon. A series of white flashes materialized just below each chopper. The dragon flapped those mighty wings and rose quickly, as six sidewinder missiles converged in the spot she had just vacated, and lit up the river with a great conflagration. "Guys," Aneas said. "I say we get outta here. Now." Nadia kicked at the broken windshield, shattering it. The kids proceeded to crawl out. Up in the air, the dragon was flapping her wings with vigor and climbing quickly, aiming for the closest gray chopper. The gunship fired off four Mistrals, two at a time, the dragon swerving and dodging each, and continuing straight at it. The chopper banked to the left, and took off. The dragon gave chase, each powerful flap of her wings drawing her closer and closer. The other two gunships tried to intervene. The second gray one got behind the dragon and opened up with it's chain gun. Raining hellfire, the murderous sparks trailed into the back of the dragon. And the creature took notice. She spread her wings suddenly, braking her momentum, and turned to face the chopper that had done the firing. This chopper tilted back to brake, and dropped to it's right. The dragon started toward it and the chopper swerved hard, trying to get away. The dragon flapped those massive wings twice and, reaching the aircraft, placed giant claws at it's rotor mount, like a hawk catching a fish. The rotating airfoils disintegrated against the dragon's limbs, and she lifted the chopper and flung it against the cliff-side. The aircraft impacted the rocks and tumbled down to the riverbank without exploding.

An indispensable reading.~Earl LeClaire, poet and novelist, Epiphanies and Benedictions, The Crew, Winnowing the Darkness and many more

'Remotely' pokes fun at British reality television."There are more plays on words and double-entendres than a Carry On film or a seaside postcard. It had me smiling, giggling and laughing out loud - a real feel good story."Britain's newest and most pointless TV talent competition is coming to Middlestone-On-Sea. 'So You Think We're Remotely Interested?' has taken Friday night viewers by storm as it streams live variety shows from remote, provincial theatres across Britain. The theatre with the most audience votes wins regeneration and revival, and lord knows, Middlestone-on-Sea needs both. The dying seaside backwater rests its hopes on the performance of two ex-best friends, gay Gary and straight Stag. The visiting celebrity judge, the mysterious and timeless Miss P, knows that for all to be well, they must mend their broken friendship. Following the success of 'Symi 85600' and his two other collections of thoughts from a Greek island, James Collins takes us further afield with his fourth book.Part memoir, part observation, this scrapbook of anecdotes and witty observations takes us from Romney Marsh to Greece via a graveyard campsite, an adult film festival, and some unusual wordplay. What to expect when dining with the Turin jet set, what to learn when moving to Symi, and how to behave when held at gunpoint in Egypt; it's all here along with a few train journeys, some mountaineering, and Symi's first civil partnership. Oh, by the way, there is a fair amount of nonsense too.
A mysterious iron chest arrived on the island of Symi, Greece in 1882 and was immediately hidden for its own safety. 121 years later and Jason is working as a holiday rep for SARGO holidays. When his grandmother turns up as one of his guests she brings with her a locked cigarette case, left to Jason by his recently departed grandfather and given to him on Symi in 1944. The case is opened and reveals a piece of music, but the music is not what it seems and Jason and his small group of pensioners soon realise that they have stumbled on a secret that has been kept hidden on Symi all these years. A secret both dangerous and valuable. Jason and the Sargonauts is a contemporary comedy adventure full of fun and mystery, 'A comic, camp and musical romp.'

This book also contains extracts from the symidream website and the complete guide 'How to move to a Greek island or other place in the sun.' "Even if you are not thinking of moving abroad this little collection will entertain and inform."

The White Wolf is a real animal that also represents mystery and spiritual power, much like the poems in Jamie Collins' book. His imagery, rich word choice and embrace of peace and simplicity add a deep power in this collection. Gratitude and compassion touch you throughout this journey. Many of these poems cherish and admonish Native American beliefs about people whose spirits "lowered into human form." The book starts and ends with his mini-poems. "Let peace sail across the land like a deep breath." "Surrounded by walls of skin I touch both this world and the Heaven within." Filled with powerful form and language, Collins has written a book that is a must read. Bill Brown, author of a textbook and 12 poetry collections

If you are wondering where the lions are, they are here in James Collins' latest collection of poems; fierce, yet merciful lions. This selection of Collins' poetry is a masterful work of outstanding artistry and skill. The poems, richly creative, honest, and filled with profound self-knowledge, deal with the body, mind, and spirit of man. In James Collins' words: "This body is only a rumor, / not a possession you can keep.... live at that address in forever / you currently rent..." and "we wait for a / sign to see / who will paint the entire / canvas blue and / start over". Wonderful imagery. Wonderful energy. Wonderful language. ~Earl LeClaire, poet
For James Collins nature, spirituality and everyday experiences intersect to illuminate the soul of the reader as much as that of the poet. From the ruins of an old church to casualties of urban landscapes, Collins writes through the darkness to a terrestrial, cosmic refuge of light and hope. This collection examines one's ever-changing station in life and is as much a spirit map for the reader as a compilation. ~Chance Chambers, Nashville poet
This handbook provides the fundamentals of the design and operation for advanced oxidation technologies. The possible applications-micropollutant treatment, treatment of taste and odor compounds, and water reuse treatment-as well as the advanced oxidation types are covered.
There is something of shimmering moonlight in these poems as well as something tremulous lingering in the shadows that renders the writing both mystic and intimate and makes it difficult to know where the poem ends and our own thoughts begin. ~Earl LeClaire, poet
