Sport And Work On The Nepaul Frontier is a book written by James Inglis. The book is a memoir of his experiences in Nepal during the early 20th century. Inglis was a British colonial officer who spent several years in Nepal, working on the frontier and engaging in various sports activities. The book is divided into two parts. The first part focuses on Inglis' work as an officer in Nepal. He describes the challenges he faced in dealing with the local population, the political situation, and the natural environment. Inglis also provides insights into the cultural and social life of the Nepalese people. The second part of the book is dedicated to Inglis' love for sports. He was an avid hunter, angler, and polo player. In this part of the book, he describes his adventures in hunting wild animals, fishing in the rivers, and playing polo with the local Nepalese.Overall, Sport And Work On The Nepaul Frontier is an interesting and informative read for anyone interested in the history of Nepal, British colonialism, and sports in the early 20th century. After living at Puttihee for two years, I was transferred to another out-factory in the same concern, called Parewah. There was here a very nice little three-roomed bungalow, with airy verandahs all round. It was a pleasant change from Puttihee, and the situation was very pretty. A small stream, almost dry in the hot weather, but a swollen, deep, rapid torrent in the rains, meandered past the factory. Nearing the bullock-house it suddenly took a sweep to the left in the form of a wide horseshoe, and in this bend or pocket was situated the bungalow, with a pretty terraced garden sloping gently to the stream. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
