In the Bible in 1 Samuel we meet Princess Merab, King Saul's oldest daughter. She is promised to David as a wife for his deed of killing Goliath, but Saul reneges on the promise. She is one again promised to David after David becomes a renowned warrior, but David refuses to accept her as his wife since he is a poor man who could not pay the dowry for a princess. Finally, when Saul pursues David to kill him, Merab is given to Ariel, the son of Barzillai and brother of Chinham. Before Saul does this, though, he had given his second daughter, Michal, to David for the dowry price of killing 100 Philistine soldiers. Later, in 2 Samuel, we learn that Saul had slaughtered many Gibeonites in a fit of rage. For this God sent a 3 year drought to Israel during David's reign. The Gibeonites demand that seven male descendants of Saul be given to them for execution to satisfy justice for them. David selects the two sons of Saul's concubine, Rizpah, but instead of taking other descendants from wives and concubines, he takes all five of Merab's sons to give to the Gibeonites for execution.
The Guidebook for the Truthfulness of the Bible gives a summary of evidence for creation and the Christian faith. It also traces the prophecies of the Old Testament written centuries before the coming of Christ through the prophets to the Gospel, giving attestation to the Christian faith.
The administration wanted a report that supported their excuse to invade another country. A young intelligence analyst took the data given to him and put together his report. The evidence clearly showed that there was no reason to believe what the administration was asserting. Due to this adverse report the young analyst was framed through planted classified documents in his home. He spent over six years in a federal prison camp for possession of these documents. Even though names, dates, and places have been changed due to security concerns, the story told in WEAPONS OF MASS DECEPTION is true. The events at work, home, in the trial, and in prison really happened. By reading this story the reader will obtain a full appreciation of the corrupt part of what our government does behind the scenes. Beware, be skeptical, and be on guard.
This small book evaluates the biblical use of speaking in tongues, tracing the use of tongues as a sign of judgment from Genesis 11 to Deuteronomy 28 to Isaiah 28 to Acts 2 and finally to 1 Corinthians 14.
