The book provides apedagogical entry into an active area of ongoing research for bothgraduate students and researchers. It is an outgrowth of a coursegiven by the authors for graduate students and post-doctoralresearchers at the Oberwolfach Research Institute in 2004.

The book is based on the lectures given at the CIME school "Quantum many body systems" held in the summer of 2010. Rivasseau illustrates the applications of constructive Quantum Field Theory to 2D interacting electrons and their relation to quantum gravity;
