I'm sorry, but Joseph Stalin did not write a book titled ""In Praise of Learning."" There is a book with that title, but it was written by the Chinese philosopher and politician, Mao Zedong. The book is a collection of Mao's speeches and writings on education and the importance of learning, particularly in the context of China's revolutionary struggle. It covers topics such as the role of education in building a socialist society, the need for revolutionary teachers and students, and the importance of studying science and technology. The book also includes Mao's famous essay ""On Practice"" and his thoughts on the relationship between theory and practice in learning. Overall, ""In Praise of Learning"" is a seminal work in Maoist thought and a key text in the history of Chinese education.Contains In Praise Of Learning By Joseph Stalin, And Our Universities And Colleges, By V. M. Molotov. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.

"We are fifty or a hundred years behind the advanced countries. We must make good this distance in ten years. Either we do it, or they will crush us." The First Five-Year Plan, or 1st Five-Year Plan, of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) was a list of economic goals that was designed to strengthen the country's economy between 1928 and 1932. The main concerns of the First Five-Year Plan focused on making the nation militarily, industrially, and financially self-sufficient. The introduction of collectivization spurred industrialization in the nation as millions of people, of the 80% of the total population that was engaged in agriculture, moved from the country into the city. Despite many of the targets being unbelievably high (a 250% increase in overall industrial development, with a 330% percent expansion in heavy industry), remarkable results were achieved.

    J. V. Stalin's pamphlet Briefly About the Disagreements in the Party was written at the end of April 1905 in reply to articles by N. Jordania: "Majority or Minority?" in the Social-Democrat, "What Is a Party?" in Mogzauri, and others. News of the appearance of this pamphlet soon reached the Bolshevik center abroad. On July 18, 1905, N. K. Krupskaya wrote to the Caucasian Union Committee of the R.S.D.L.P. requesting that copies of the pamphlet be sent to the center. The pamphlet was widely circulated among the Bolshevik organizations in Transcaucasia. From it the advanced workers learned of the disagreements within the Party and of the stand taken by the Bolsheviks headed by V. I. Lenin. The pamphlet was printed at the underground printing press of the Caucasian Union of the R.S.D.L.P. in Avlabar in May 1905, in the Georgian language, and in June it was printed in the Russian and Armenian languages, each in 1,500-2,000 copies.
