Synopsis: I love writing, even when it keeps me up at night. It is always fun for me. I hope my readers enjoy reading this collection of poetry. I try to tell the truth in my writing and as you readers all know, the truth can often be brutal, so if any of the content of this book offends, upsets or disturbs any of you, please know that I too am often upset, disturbed and offended by what I write.Autobiography: Joyce Keveren has written 7 novels, one collection of short stories and this is her fourth collection of poetry. You can find her books on Amazon.com and on her writer's website at joycekeveren.com. She is currently at work on another novel.
Book synopsis: I had fun writing these poems. I hope my readers enjoy reading them, too. They are truthful and real and from my memory and my heart as well as my head. Autobiography: Joyce Keveren has written 7 novels and one collection of short stories, and this is her fourth collection of poetry. Her books are available on Amazon and her writer's website at jkeveren.com.
Book synopsis:Father A has found God and wants to be relieved of his duties as a priest. He is working on the homeless problem in Phoenix, the city where he lives, and he has recruited help from among the homeless population itself. This is the story of that colorful group of people and their attempts to help him not only to be defrocked, but to house, clothe and feed the homeless like themselves.Autobiography:Joyce Keveren has written six novels, two volumes of poetry and one collection of short stories. This is her seventh novel. I loved writing this book and getting to know (making up) the homeless people who inhabit this story. I am concerned about this problem, and I am wondering if Father A's solution could be used effectively in the real world as it does in this work of fiction.
Book synopsis:I reread part of Sweetgrass, one of the other poetry books I have written and I thought, well, that's some profound B.S. in there, not to mention those screaming examples of OCD that a psychiatrist would notice, and some of those odd rhyming patterns, here-to-fore most likely unknown to man, like a motorboat speeding over choppy waters or a stuttering drunk, but then I remembered how much fun it was to write. This last one was fun to write too. I hope all three of my readers enjoy it too. Thank you to Angel Raye for her lovely, heartfelt poem for her sister. Autobiography:Joyce Keveren has written 7 novels, one collection of short stories and this is her third collection of poetry. You can find information about her writing on her writer's website at jkeveren.com.
Joyce Keveren has written six novels and one volume of short stories and one volume of poetry. This is her second volume of poetry.I had fun writing this book of poetry. When editing it, I realized there was a lot of anger being expressed, but it is the truth, so I will not change it. I try to always tell the truth in my spoken and written words. Again, if any of the content in this volume of poetry upsets, disturbs, or offends any of my readers, I understand. I too am often upset, disturbed, or offended by what I write. I hope you enjoy reading this poetry as much as I enjoyed writing it.
Parts of some of these stories are true or partly true or based on somethingsomebody else told me was true, so pretty much, these stories are fiction. And I'm glad about that. I like to write fiction for two reasons:1. I can do most of the research in my head, which is fun, and2. Fiction is often more truthful than non-fiction. It can afford to beas it takes little responsibility as the disclaimer in the front of thebook tells you. That's freedom of speech at work which we all needand love. Even if it's a raving, ranting piece of borderline insane rageor a declaration of freedom and love, that freedom is a good thing.Especially for writers. And all other people.
