Frozen Sky is an artist's book by Langlands and Bell which uses the international language of airport abbreviations (the three-letter codes designating cities) as well as air traffic control maps rendered in black-and-white to both orient and disorient the viewer. Occasional pages with cryptic phrases such as "An Invisible World Capital" heighten the gnomic suggestiveness of the book Set into grids, the utilitarian nature of this work is in fact a commentary on the ways in which our planet is connected and disconnected.
