The Final Fortnight of Years: The Darkening is the third Book of the Romances of the Metaphysicals, and follows Christopher and Sophia, Maxim and Maria through the last seven years of time (the era of the Antichrist), along with their parents and their children. The latter, David and Magdalena, come into their own as characters during these years, becoming precociously romantic courtly lovers as well as world-famous performance artists. Christopher and Maxim continue their metaphysical and theological studies, which include Gregory Palamas on the uncreated Light, the metaphysics of the resurrection body, and the romantic theology of Charles Williams. Sophia directs a master's program at the Institute while Maria pursues her History of the Apocalyptic War (with parallels to the period 2017-2024). The four elders contribute a number of touches to the tale, including Sergei's comments on Russian and American Literature and two new icons by Manuela. The starship Synaxis and its angelic crew are deployed in two novel developments of aeviternal technology and, in conclusion, the End of Time is narrated succinctly, within the boundaries of biblical revelation.

The Knowledge of Christ comprises a series of studies on important dogmatic topics, developed by commentary on traditional Christian authors, including St. Augustine, St. Bernard, Meister Eckhart, Martin Luther, Maximus Confessor, Martin Chemnitz, St. John of Damascus, St. Thomas Aquinas, and Johann Gerhard. These studies are also informed by a traditional metaphysical perspective (philosophia perennis) which is brought to bear on the meaning of the dogmatic Symbols and of the 'heart' in which faith is said to abide. As implied in its subtitle, the book seeks to exemplify the use of metaphysical understanding in the practice of dogmatics within the Lutheran theological order of the Church.

This book assembles the findings of a half-dozen Luther scholars, writing over the past fifty years, regarding mystical and metaphysical themes in the Reformer's thought: Bengt Hoffman, Bengt Hagglund, Heiko Oberman, Sammeli Juntunen, Berndt Hamm and Volker Leppin. The contributions of Hagglund, Oberman and Juntunen are translated from the German for the first time, and all of the collected material is commented on from a metaphysical perspective by the author of this book. Luther is portrayed here, not as a metaphysician, but as a mystical theologian who freely made use of metaphysical symbolism in his explanations of evangelical doctrine.

ESSE & EVANGEL argues for the necessity of traditional metaphysical understanding for the defense and communication of Christian Faith under postmodern cultural conditions. Following a Preface which summarizes its structure, the book first states its central argument in a brief summary, than considers two kinds of objections to its proposal: postmodern philosophical objections, and historical Lutheran theological ones. A traditional metaphysical perspective is then outlined, under the rubric of philosophia perennis, on the basis of which the modernist-postmodernist objections are rebutted, and the Lutheran ones adapted as limiting principles for evangelical metaphysical speculation. A view of 'evangelical metaphysics' is then developed, and its implications for Word, Sacrament, and theological method are investigated.

This book challenges the claim of the modern sciences to explain the degree of order observed in nature. It argues that a traditional metaphysical perspective is required for the explanation of this order, and derives such a perspective from the book of Genesis. Finally it connects the metaphysics with biochemistry and offers a model of terrestrial biogenesis.

Not long after the murder of my sister, Laura, a local school teacher prompted me to tell Laura's story for the first time to her health students. That school teacher will remember that as I stood in front of them trying to put the story into some logical format, I became sweat soaked and struggled. But, that is where my advocacy began. It was then suggested to me that I write down the words of my presentation and share it with those who may never hear me speak on this topic.
