During the bloodthirsty sixteenth century Japan, brothers killed brothers, fathers killed sons, sons killed fathers, and retainers overthrew their lords. It was an era where the sword was the law and bloodshed was king. Oda Nobunaga (1534-82) has to make a critical decision. Should he trust his retainers and captains or use someone on the outside to do his dirty work? Imagawa Yoshimoto (1519-60), a man who is cultured aristocrat and part warrior is on a military campaign to Kyoto. If he succeeds, he will become the most powerful daimyo in Japan. However, Yoshimoto thinks Nobunaga is a small country lord who can be easily brushed aside. It would later proved to be a fatal mistake. The two armies will me at Dengakuhazama on May 19th, 1560, a day Japanese history changed forever.
