The Psalms are filled with hopeful truths about our Father in heaven and about life as it truly it. We as women can take these truths to heart and use them as a tool to navigate our world today as it relates to our homes, our families, our friends, and our service to God. This book is compiled of Psalms which speak of courage and trust. It was written during the pandemic of 2020.
The foremost problem of the Corinthian church was that their focus was wrong. It was misplaced. That fact is seen in every problem they had, most significantly in their problem with unity. They were focusing on themselves, on other people, and on human wisdom, rather than on Christ and the cross. How much of a difference would it make in your life if you learned this basic truth that the focal point of Christianity and the Christian life-therefore of the Christian himself-must be Christ and His cross, "For the message of the cross is ... the power of God" (1 Corinthians 1:18), and that Christ is the key to every problem?
We are about to embark on an incredible journey! A journey which will take us from the rocky Island of Patmos on the Aegean Sea to a scenic view of the seven selected churches of Asia Minor, from which we will get a vantage point of the seven stages of church history. From there we will look beyond to some of the more significant and inspiring aspects of this unique book of the Bible, which gives us a view of our exciting future, catching a glimpse in each lesson of our glorified Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
In this study, we'll be taking a look at five of the women we find in the Bible. We'll look at each woman closely, considering her strengths and her weaknesses, her trials and her triumphs, making personal application along the way. This will be a time of discovery. Not only will you uncover new and interesting things about the women we're studying, but you'll discover new things about yourself in the process. Keep that word discovery in mind, because the lessons are written in such a way that the discovery process will be yours alone, as well as the personal application in the end!
Although each of the four Gospels has its own unique perspective on the life and ministry of Jesus Christ, there is something especially compelling about the gospel as it was written by Matthew. As we set forth to study Matthew's version of the gospel message, we will have the great benefit of being taught by the Lord Himself, as Matthew has presented us with detailed accounts of His major messages with at least 60% of his gospel focusing on the teachings of Christ. The majority of our study will not be what Matthew has to say about Jesus but rather what Jesus has to say to us!
We are standing on the very same threshold today as the Thessalonians were in Paul's day. Although we are nearer, we are still watching and waiting for that glorious day. Let's learn from Paul's letters to the Thessalonians exactly what to be looking for and how to be living in light of the return of our Savior!
In this study, we will take a look at five women in the Bible. We'll look at their strengths and their weaknesses, their trials and their triumphs. As we do, we will seek to learn our lessons well. We learn so much from others who have taught us in the past, but we'll seek in this study to hear what you think. You'll get the opportunity to read each woman's story for yourself and come to your own conclusions. Don't worry about what other's think, but allow the Holy Spirit to speak into your life through the Scriptures and stories of the women in this book.

Just as the first book of the Bible, Genesis, is called the Book of Beginnings, the second book, Exodus, is known as the Book of Redemption. The name Exodus comes from the Greek translation of the Old Testament and it means "way out." The book's central theme is deliverance! It's the deliverance or "way out" of Israel from bondage in Egypt. God sent Moses to deliver Israel from Egypt. God sent Jesus Christ to deliver the world from sin. We all need deliverance! And it has been given. God always makes a way out!

The book of Genesis is said to give us the beginning of everything except God. Henry M. Morris calls it "the most important book ever written!" It is my desire, as you study this magnificent account of creation and the unfolding plan of redemption, that it would lead you into a deeper faith in God. Take hold of these great truths and translate them into real faith in a real God who can do anything He puts His mind to!
This book has been called many things: the book of the seven signs (referring to the seven sign-miracles John uses to present the person and mission of Jesus); the intimate gospel; the most theological of the four gospels; the most profound book ever written; and the greatest piece of literature ever produced. According to F.B. Meyer, "there is no part of Scripture more conducive to the culture of the inner life." And Warren Wiersbe so beautifully directs us in our approach to this profound work by saying, "come to this book with the heart and mind of a worshiper." We might reverently add to this thought that as we enter the Gospel of John, we are standing on holy ground.
Who doesn't enjoy a good love story? We all do, don't we? Well in the Book of Ruth we have several love stories in one. We have the love of a daughter-in-law devoted to her mother-in-law, and that's a beautiful story. But then we have an even better love story-we have the story of a young and childless widow who finds herself loved, married, and ultimately fulfilled with a child, and that's a beautiful story, too. But then we have an even better story, because out of this love story we have a picture of the greatest love of all-the love of the heavenly Father for His children, you and me-a love so great that He provided us with a Kinsman-Redeemer in His Son, Jesus Christ.
It seems false teaching was threatening the doctrinal purity of the church of Colosse. From Greek philosophy to Jewish legalism to Oriental mysticism, the enemy was attempting to infiltrate and twist the pure and true doctrine of Christianity. Paul's letter to the Colossians was written in response to this disturbing news. His aim was to warn the church and point them back to the truth. He had but one major answer to all of the erroneous teaching-Christ is supreme-therefore faith in Christ is sufficient. If we could but grasp the enormity of this truth, it could change our lives forever!
What an amazing adventure we begin as we step into our study of the Book of Revelation, which promises a blessing to all who enter in! We will be looking into things which were previously shut up but are now opening up to our understanding as the day draws near. We will have the opportunity, as we go through this exciting book, to consider the events of our own day, which are setting the stage for the prophecy of Revelation to unfold. Get a good seat, have your Bible and notebook ready, and let the adventures begin!
If you have ever wondered just how the Christian faith works in everyday life, James is the book for you! It might be seen as a textbook on Christian ethics, like a how-to book for the believer. It may have been the first New Testament book written, but it is as needful and relevant today as it was for those who first received it some 2000 years ago.
Have you ever heard of someone who died in the midst of great poverty, only to be discovered to have been very, very wealthy? Some of us live our Christian lives just like this-looking like spiritual paupers, while all the time we have a spiritual bank account that reveals that we are rich. As you study this letter to the Ephesians, make note of all that you, as a Christian, have in your heavenly bank account: adoption, acceptance, redemption, forgiveness, wisdom, inheritance, the seal of the Holy Spirit, life, grace, and citizenship-every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places!
Letters ... we love to get them don't we? But what about a letter from your mentor, your father in the faith, the one who led you to Christ and led you into ministry. Even better! Well that's what we have in the letters to Timothy and Titus: letters from Paul, written from prison, and even more significant, the final letters Paul wrote.
Could you be joyful if you found yourself in prison? Most of us would have to say no ... but Paul could easily say yes ... you see, he had learned the secret of being content in any and every situation-even in prison and even in chains. How would you like to learn this secret? How would you like to have joy in the midst of your "prison"? Well Paul says you can and will show you the way in his letter to the Philippian church. So let us arise, drop our chains, and find our joy!
How important is this letter to us today? As important as it ever was! Who hasn't struggled with the notion that they must work for their salvation? How many churches in our day put forth a message that you must do "certain things" in order to know that you are truly saved? Whether you are encouraged by a church, by your own weakness, or by the devil himself to work for your salvation, it is time that you know it is a lie and not the true gospel message. Martin Luther was a troubled and tormented soul who never thought he could do enough to please God. But he found rest for his soul from the teachings of this letter-and you can too!
